I am willing to assist this project/take it over if the other devs are stepping down.

I would ask to have the respect and time it takes to work on this project and to get to know the old developers and the community.

I am a general class so ham is in me

I have made a mesh-net appropriate forum (censoring etc) which I would like serious hamradio licensed and unlicensed personelle and coders to pm me and get access to so we can mesh together a forum on cryptocurrencies over multiple mesh-nets. and discusss the finer details of the project over the airwaves so someone may stumble upon it

Looking at this project. Interested in knowing if there are any plans for it at this time other than abadonning it. I have a dev on my team that is willing to look at working with it. His first concern is the diff though. Also, we were Looking at the possibility of cross support with a new coinwe are developing that also supports dual algo. Just thought I would throw this out there and see if anyone is interestd or even responds. Thanks.

This sounds very interesting, Garmin had discussed adding merged mining at one time. Multi algo would be nice too however.

I agree that this coin won't be totally abandoned I am just a little bummed right now that Alex and Garmin have decided to give up so suddenly. My attempts to talk him out of it failed.

First off it wont end up being abandoned that is for sure, I am talking to both the dev's at length at the moment, and I will make sure they see what you have proposed

Thanks for throwing it out there

UNO is actually pushing this hard, not realizing how these things work. Fleeting popularity tends to do that folks though.

Did anyone claim the outernet HAM yet? That actually gave me a great idea on how to make this work despite lighthouse data restrictions.

Hello, I am only now and I can not support everything. The project HAM is a bad time now. (Alex)

Yes I got word from Garmin that he is no longer going to support the coin. I don't have a lot of contacts in the community so I am afraid I will have to put my HAM projects on the back burner too. My wot obligations are too many for me to carry it on my own. :/

I too have just got an email from Jimmy saying that both he and Alex will not be continuing to support the coin because of real life things, and of coarse real life things should come first.

The email ends with "Anyone wanting to do a takeover should speak up now."

There must be a few of you here that can do that, this coin is far to good to let die, and I am willing to help in any way I can to support the new takeover team, but I would suggest moving fast before some newbie walks in and decides to have a go !

Time to stand up and be counted people!

I am also happy to take temp custody of this coin whilst a new team is put in place, as I would hate to see a takeover go wrong.
Cheers

I joined up to do development work on linux and small hamradiocoind servers. I am simply too busy with other development obligations to take over the entire coin development alone. If there are any competent takers for this offer that continue community development they are welcome to contact me and I will try to assist.

I wish the community the best of luck moving forward. Kind of a sad day for me but I wish both Garmin and Alex the best of luck moving forward.

Sorry guy's I can't support HAM on cryptsy any more. Some may want to trade on cryptsy but if we cant withdrawal I must inform our supporters that withdraws are not working any longer. 48 hours for a simple withdrawal is not an exchange I can support. Sorry for the bad news. Happy new years all..

Thus the need to wean the coin away from centralized exchanges and build around p2p trade models.  Wink

Had some great talks with our bitwizards. Sat project isn't dead.
It's sad bro, we were so excited to get listed on cryptsy, but I just cant support our users being used as an exit coin for cryptsy. I have to let our supporters know, even if it hurts, hams don't rip off hams, sorry guys..

I mentioned here a mate of mine who works as a radio tech (and he owns Bitcoin, held in IndiaMikeZulu's vaults). Well, surprise surprise, he's a long long time ham-radio operator (and another Bitcoiner has turned up where they work). So, after Noooo Year is out of the way, I will get him to announce himself . . .

wait . . .

here he is: "Secretary - VK6AXB - Anthony Benbow"
