There are always risks, even fundamental ones. Suppose that the whole crypto-currency market itself will be subject to a prolonged storm with a constant search for the bottom? Then all projects in one way or another related to this will suffer and their tokens as a consequence - will become cheaper! All this in any case does not mean that you do not need to invest - I just think that it's worth choosing a number of strategically important projects and keeping them, buying more and more - to have a good set of tokens. A project like Acorn is required to enter this list. 
For me the best tactics is fast sell after ICO end. I try choosing projects that will fast rise to their x2 and even x3. I don’t care about FOMO or HODL. Buy on Pre sale perspective tokens, fast sell, reinvest, repeat...May be it too risky, but it works and I always have my minimum amount of free crypto for new projects (3-5 eth) I invested 3,6 ETH in Acorn and expect at least x2 after listing on exchanges.
