conceptually unclear future of the coin. the impression to go on exchange and end. what's next? the developer did not know what to do next, and we can work together to decide what our coin can offer to the community

maybe masternodes?

Masternodes and REAL anonymity don't mix.

I have a question for the developer.

Do you plan to change the GUI interface design for Windows?

Black letters on a gray background, not very cool.

imho it's not so ugly, but hope they can make happy everyone

Maybe by fixing the amount of coins created in the first year to a more reasonable and halving the reward like bitcoin would be a good solution

I think this could be a good solution aswell, of course it could be represent a deviation from the original plans/pourposes but like the dev said, this is a coin made for community and so the community can make changes..
Agree!Another idea I had in mind is creating a main faucet. And take 1/3 of whats is set to be mined in the first year 18.75m - 6.25m as a tresh hold for the faucet. The faucet should be prepared prior to excanges or difficulty jump. That way we still got 18.75m mined in the first year but the diffrence is 12.5m would be in exchanges or personal wallets while the 6.25m is slowly being disturbed to the people who missed first few mounths or a year of the project. That way its 12.5m coins in wallets 6.25m in the faucet for people who are joining a little bit latter and 6.25m left to mine basicly 50/50  Smiley

I believe that 2 things are most important for now:

1 Add to an exchange ( so that a price is set up and get it added to coinmarket)

2 Marketing (Expand the community and people get to know this coin, also attract investors)

It's the worst strategy because actually too few people hold the coins and it isn't mature at all for entering on markets (c'mon it's less than 2 months old). When it is decentralized at a good level, when lot of people have mined it it will be the time for markets.
And how will more people be attracted to mine the coin since it has no value yet?
More than 70% of the coin supply is going to be mined in the first year
This means that the community needs to expand fast or there will be hyper inflation
Getting on an exchange and adding to Coinmarketcap will make it known to more people and attract potential investors
So i strongly believe that it is in the coins and communitys best interest to be added to an exchange as soon as possible
Let's not forget that it is a coin
and coins to have any worth need to be traded (for goods and services or other coins)
if not you just have 18 million of nothing

I agree to an certain extent if we follow that logic bitcoin should have never iven made it to the place it is atm ! Because it didnt have a exchange for quiet longer. I think the coin is almost ready to be put on a exchange. But there are things to be reffined beffor that ! We want the coin to hit the exchange in its best form possible. Patience a key figure in the dev of any project. We got a great community but alot of people are lacking exactly patience. That being said I agree to a certain extent because we do need investors and more people but Im pretty sure we can get more people to join the project whitout the help of exchanges.  Smiley
Think IRD should hit the exchanges in the next 2 mounths. But thats my opinion  Smiley

Yes but don't forget BTC is here for more than 7 years and the circulating supply right now is 16-17 million coins
Iridium is scheduled to have a circulating supply of 18 million coin in just one year
That is too many coins for just a bunch of miners to be considered decentralised
Maybe by fixing the amount of coins created in the first year to a more reasonable and halving the reward like bitcoin would be a good solution
Then time would not matter that much
Again that is my opinion as a miner that care for this coin

Iridium (IRD) dev
Hello
I have several suggestions for the project.
1. as mentioned above the wallet for the MAC
...

Macos wallet sent to Slack.
Cosmeticked and compiled for 10.8 and above... Retina display support too :

I do agree with Psy, I just dont think that "failure" is the right word, dev is just having his problems.

What we could use in our favor is to spread that even when the first( or main) dev is away, for now because of a tragedy, the coin is still moving foward because  we are building it as a community, just like it says in the topic.

With that we could make our community grow a little more before going into the market, together with improvements of the white paper, website and new wallets for mac and mobile can make this coin stay up even if there is some dumping when we hit the exchanges.

I know about tragedy in the family of the developer. I digging the coin from the beginning. I think that if the coin will now go to the exhange - everyone will drain their reserves - where the reason to keep coins? The reason for this could be the plan for the development of coins, which ends with the release of the coins on the trading floor

marketing is what I'm talking about. need a long-term white paper which will be interesting to the community. We can use the failure of the first developer from the coin as a positive incentive for the development of the coin by the community. but of course, We first need to bring the coin to the exchange, but before that, at least to formulate the next steps. otherwise it will look like a Scam. We need a strategy for further development of the coin
With the things u sayin u putting the coin in a bad possition. The dev didnt leav the project he took a break because he has his own personal problems... If u were interested in the project u would have read the whole post and understand the current situation of the project. U right for one tho we as a community gotta do all we can do atm till the dev comes back atm this is to inprove the site, more pools runing, spread hash rate. Make videos with opinion on the coin or tutorials mining set ups for diffrent cards etc. Advertise while the exchange is on hold for a while . Most inportant of all stay a close comunnity support the dev trust him and do our job as a actual positive thinking comunnity . Thats the path I see this coin succeeding on  Smiley

Pleas share ur idea, other than the exchange for now we all know thats our main priority !
