MANDATORY KORE WALLET v0.12.4.0  UPDATE:

This includes masternodes...

For those that missed it there is a Wallet update to v0.12.4.0
Update your wallets ASAP.
This is a mandatory update.
This is just a slice of the number of wallets out there but shows there are still some on the old 12.3.9 version.

                               1-11-2018 - v0.12.4.0

NOTE: The wallet still has the disappearing coins and reindexing
issues experienced by many PoSv3 coins at this current time.
For those not familiar with this issue just restart your wallet a few times
and the GUI will display the proper amount of coins in your wallet.
The KORE wallet update to version 0.12.4.0 includes:
Partial memory leak fixes, other mods and fixes.
Rather than remove the Bittrex trading window the wallet has been updated with
a check box toggle to "Enable Trading," found at the bottom of the page.
The wallet opens with the trading window disabled. Click to enable it.
Once finished with trades it is recommended to disable it.
The box to unlock for staking only is auto checked.
The staking icon remains on for a longer period of time when coins are sent out to stake.
Various links and spelling corrections.
Commented out a buggy non functioning wallet repair option.
Updated nodes list.
Added zapwallettxes to the kore.conf file.
Windows 32bit version.
Updated curl and dependency lists.
Increased outbound connections.
Increased the stake split threshold.
Lowered difficulty.
Updated ssl.
Various other bug fixes.

* IMPORTANT:
Delete your kore.conf file before loading or compiling your wallets
BUT: Save all your masternode setup data!
Here is a Masternode upgrade guide:
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.28364423
Thanks to Matrix!
 Smiley

                    WALLETS:

Make sure:
zapwallettxes=1
is in your local wallet conf file.

Mac OS:
Is currently being worked on.
We were holding off till the wallet was 100%
but under the circumstances, it will now be done.

FYI:
I found this method useful and time saving:
To keep from having to go through the constant reindexing I every few days
make a copy of the kore folder after a reindex and then test to make sure it starts properly.
Then once I have that I replace the kore folder whenever restarting the wallet to get the correct balance to show.
This saves much time and it allows for a 1 time restart of the wallet rather than two and you dont go through the reindexing.

Cheers!
MikeMike

Hey guys,
working on adding more functionality to KOREbit, Update so soon after is cause I wanted a core script out there for people to use while I worked on adding more control, update will feature much more advanced checks in place,  original script will not work if the user actively tries to do something else (click on a different window while the script is in active phase) this update will give the script a very basic AI-like feel where it wont matter if you click on something else, the script will pull control back and start over, then when it finishes everything will automatically minimize, signaling the script is finished and you are free to continue what you were doing.  Update should be pushed in the next 12 hours, and if I have the time I will add multiOS functionality (Ubuntu AND Mint) after I push the update I will begin on the development of a windows exe variant of the script for our windows friends.

INTRODUCING KOREbit:

You can find it here:
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.29423116

Came up with an idea that Matrix was kind enough to make it so.  Smiley
It will not be an official KORE Release since it is more a temp fix or aid.
It is to be released in Linux first and if Windows is capable that will be next...
This post is for an announcement to release an opensource temporary fix/software tool/script that will automatically restart and unlock your wallet every 3 hours.
It will kill your wallet, restart it and in 15 minutes unlock your wallet for staking only.
The 15 minute delay is to reduce forks from staking too early after starting a wallet.
This will alleviate the constant hands on restarting of the wallet till the full fix is completed we are working on.
If you decide to use this tool Make Sure you have your wallet.dat backed up.
This tool was designed with privacy and security in mind since you will need to insert your password to have it auto unlock your wallet for staking only.
The password is stored in memory just as the wallet stores it in memory and will not be visible on your desktop when it inserts it.

Below are some instructions, list of functions it performs and helpful notes:

NOTE: Backup your wallet.dat if you have not done so already.
1- Create a folder on your desktop labeled:    KORE_BK
2- For best results,... Every 3 to 6 days do the following:
Make a copy of the files and folders in the home/.kore folder after a reindex.
Put them in the KORE_BK folder and then test to make sure it starts properly.
Go through this process until the wallet starts properly/does not force a reindex.
NOTE: I have found if you put
reservebalance=1000
In the conf file it decreases the amount of times the wallet needs to be restarted.
This could be removed once it starts correctly so you stake all your coins.
NOTE: You may have to change the directory to HOME or modify the opensource code
to pull the info from the directory/place you have your .kore folder.

You can find it here:

Hey Everyone!
As Mike^2 said, I developed this script to help everyone who doesn't have time to babysit their wallets, of course there are limitations to the script but it will work perfectly on any ubuntu based linux system, (mint has changed something which means there is no Mint support for this script) most of the settings are set as variables at the top of the script for easy modification by the user, default is 3 hours per restart, this can be changed as you please. Now to the fun part,
Make sure you have a good wallet and chain in ~/Desktop/KORE_BK/ the definition of good wallet being that it doesn't ask you to reindex when you start it!
For best results,... Every 3 to 6 days do the following:
Make a copy of the files and folders in the home/.kore folder after a reindex.
Put them in the KORE_BK folder and then test to make sure it starts properly.
Go through this process until the wallet starts properly/does not force a reindex.
NOTE: I have found if you put
reservebalance=1000
In the conf file it decreases the amount of times the wallet needs to be restarted.
This could be removed once it starts correctly so you stake all your coins.
after you have that make sure you have another backup of your wallet.dat somewhere else.

this script requires only one dependency so,
1) Open a terminal and input the following (all commands go into terminal!):
Code:
sudo apt-get install xdotool -y
2) Now download the git by inputting this command:
Code:
git clone https://github.com/XxTheMatrix101xX/KOREBit.git
3) go into the folder with the following command:
Code:
cd KOREBit
4) Make sure you have your KORE wallet locked and running (this is to test out your password)
5) Run the script with the following command (KEEP THE ./!):
Code:
./shell
6) The shell will start up and run a few checks and then ask for the password to unlock your wallet (This is NOT SAVED! so every time you start the shell you will need to input the password)
7) now that the script has your password it will go to the KORE wallet and test the password out, the script has no way of knowing if it works so go to settings and see if the wallet is still locked, if so you need to stop the script and try again, if it worked you dont need to do anything else! Please remember that since this is only unlocking for staking you should see both an option to unlock as well as an option to lock the wallet if the script worked.

PLEASE NOTE, the script has two phases, active and inactive, during the active phase it will pull up the KORE wallet and input the password, during this time it is critical that you not move things too much, after the password has been entered the script goes to inactive (or passive rather) and you can continue doing as you wish.

Today on bittrex the volume of trades in KORE $5,536,000.00 (222 BTC)

it's great!
Were the prerequisites for this? Or is it the pump?

wow amazing !!!

so satisfying trading volume of KORE, of course because bittrex is one of the biggest market
will likely continue to grow, i think this is not the peak and will be better

Sorry KORE Community about having to deal with the PoSv3 wallet issues.
We are diligently working on short term aid fixes to make it easier to maintain staking wallets,...
and give a greater Masternode and staking rewards.
We are also working on the Long Term fixes to eradicate the issues.

And it is necessary to add official representatives according to the new rules of the exchange Bittrex
if you do not want the coin removed from the exchange.
Find people on the team who can become open representatives

I bought masternodes when they cost was $ 4000
If the coin will removed from exchange, the price drops to ... $1000...$500
I'm afraid to think about it

Complete agreement.
I have similar concerns.

No need to be concerned.
I'm concerned why you would not just ask...

Example:
"MikeMike, Is KORE going to abide by the new Bittrex rules and requirements?"
ANSWER:
Yes.

How many if not secret received? And how often do you receive payments from the masternode? I have half of the coins. here I want to find an opportunity to buy the remaining ones and also run the masternode!

This public information can in Explorer view
https://chainz.cryptoid.info/kore/

Address of wallets connected to the MN can be viewed in wallet KoreCoin, tab All Masternodes.

for example, it's not my wallet

MikeMike, there is information about the number of coins in each block?
They will increase or decrease?
When you can see the road map 2018?

This is now KORE, not KoreCoin, make sure you have an updated wallet
there is no set number of coins in each block, its percentage based.
We will release roadmap when we feel it.
