Kraken stole about 20 ethereum, 1 bitcoin and some bitcoin cash and lite coin from me.  had originally invested approx £4000 which gained up nicely in the autumn.

These bunch of lying scum fuck criminal cunts stole the whole fucking lot and I can prove it.

Apologies for the profanities but it reflects my feelings towards these shower of bastards.

I have my share of ill feelings about Kraken and their competency. Mostly connected to their (in)ability to maintain a reliable and responsive trading platform. But I have always felt my funds are relatively safe on their platform. Never had an issue in that regard. They actually gave me some automatic airdrops.

If you have evidence, present it or STFU! Thank you! Smiley

P.S.: No, Kraken-Sepetimus I will not open a stupid ticket because your response time is 2.000 ms!!! It will solve nothing Wink

Okay... then prove it? How did they steal you? Did you login one day and there was not funds in your account? Before you withdraw funds from KRAKEN you have to approve the address from your email and there was no news of a successful hack against KRAKEN, so whatever problem occurred must be from your side.

Personally I'm very happy with KRAKEN after they upgraded their servers. They even replied to my ticket within 1 hour last Saturday evening, I was expecting at least a week of delay but they seem to have improved a lot within the last 2 months. Oh and they solved my issue which was complicated and a macro-answer wouldn't help.

You will probably get this type of answer from Septimus: "Please escalate by opening a ticket and escalating that ticket using this form. Thanks for bringing this to our attention." (or something similar)

By doing this Kraken is trying to keep you from posting additional post about your problem in public channels (at least for a while). First, they try to get the communication on email level, and if they cannot (or maybe even do not want to) solve it, then they start ignoring your emails regarding your request.

This way of email communication is what happened to us last year when bringing the "market manipulation by supply of erroneous data issue" to Kraken's attention. That time we did not use public channels. Now we have brought this topic up again as it happened to a buddy of ours. Still no real answer to the problem.....so actually we are waiting for almost a year now for an answer and a solution to the problem. And worst of all, this problem survived the trade engine update... LOL

LOL!

Perfect reply! Love it!  Grin

I'm glad I have removed all my funds from this exchange.

Strange, yet attractive.
@the OP:

Is there any information about the airdrops on EOS chain? Should we move the ERC20 out of Kraken so that we're eligible for the new tokens or the exchange will do it for us?
Thanks in advance for your answer.

Hi macsga. If we don't make an announcement about a certain fork or airdrop, it's safe to assume that you should hold your coins in an address that you own the private keys to in order to take full advantage of that fork or airdrop. Thanks for reaching out!

Thanks for your prompt reply. I personally don't want to move the coins from your Exchange due to the complexity of the task, (MEW, plugins, etc) so I thought it was a safe to assume that a similar policy (as with Lumens) would take place. Anyway. If you have anything new on the matter, please let us know. I'm sure I'm not the only one with the problem.

Thanks again.

If you are a Kraken user, we would be doing you a favour as well by trying to get Kraken to clarify this issue.
For example, in this particular case if you trade in the ETH/BTC & ETC/BTC markets, then please check your orders which were opened before the 29th of January 12 o' clock UTC +1:00 and check the OHCL data of that time. You will find "relative" large candlewick pikes around that time. Especially the down pike in the ETH/BTC market is interesting. It might be that some of your orders should have been traded according to the OHCL data at that time (maybe they were still traded later, but that does not matter for this case), but according to Kraken those are misprints. At least at first they claimed it were misprints. But who knows, now that it finally has been given to the devs.
Therefore, be careful when you see "ridiculous" candlewick pikes in the OHCL data. Those might be real pikes, but they also might not be. Hard to tell.

As we restarted to bring this issue up based on data given to us by our buddy, we find it correct to state it. And we don't mind doing a buddy a favor, but maybe you have been in the financial world for so long that this is not normal for you anymore.
and maybe, but just maybe, an additional own interest is that we were considering to start re-using Kraken after the trade engine update, however, seeing what is happening here, we doubt that we will.

And rest assured, we would stop asking ASAP if we would get an answer. So don't blame us if Kraken is showing this amount of disrespect towards customers. Easy. However, Kraken/Septimus is obviously trying to ignore this issue.

The fastest way would be if Kraken would take a clear stance on the questions which arose from this issue. (see above)

Nope, everybody should be entiteled to enguire about wrongdings.
But, you made it in favour of a "friend" so prominent that there is is slight hint of of a shrill or just spamming.
I will stop right here, because with you it can go forever.

It is not solved therefore we continue to remind Kraken that it is not solved. (addition for you: It is not only our buddies issue, but also ours as we encountered and reported this issue already spring last year (2017). And is was not solved then neither, we were just ignored by Kraken in the end.)

It was given to the devs yesterday, at least according to Gil.

But hey, you apparently say, that ignoring justified customer requests by Kraken is acceptable?

Also, you apparently find misprints in OHCL data acceptable which have a tremendous impact on several chart indicators?

Last, but not least. We cannot find an answer to the questions posted in this thread about this issue and how Kraken will treat it in the future. We only find answers in which we are asked to open and escalate a ticket. (Done that, did end in being ignored by Kraken, so not doing that again) Or we got the lie that Kraken got to the bottom of this issue, which they obviously did not.

Why are you still ranting continously here?

Go through the post, that is proof enough.
Dude, where is the proof?
And why are you seeking for a response in the finacial world?
Some people really need to chillax!

If needed we can ask the dude who's having the issue to provide us with the exact email in which he is being told that the case is solved and the email saying it was given to the devs. For the rest, all the proof can be found in previous posts, i.e., Septimus saying that it is solved, also that the false OHCL data is provided by Kraken and not corrected can be found in this thread. There is sufficient proof  Grin

And about the apology, as we do not like being lied to, this is the least anyone can reasonably expect after having expose the lie. Be it in the finical world, or anywhere else.

And dude, we are relaxed ourselves as we are no customers anymore at Kraken for reasons above which we expected long ago and now even got proof for. We just like to warn other people about how Kraken treats its customers.

@ KrakenSeptimus (the liar)

Since it is very obvious that you have been lying to us (and everyone else) about this issue, don't you think that a massive apology would be in order?

Furthermore, it should be noted that Gil has been lying to our buddy as well when Gil originally told him that Kraken got to the bottom of this. So, we think Kraken owes our buddy an even greater apology.

But yeah, the best part is that it is proven that you are a liar, Septimus. Which is sadly not surprising to us, as we have been expecting this all the time.

still no answers.... closing on a month since (re-)opening the question...

Kraken the best exchange to get ripped off as customer LOL

still no answers....thus again (and again and again). And yes Septimus (and other Kraken employees) you will be reminded until this issue is solved.

As far as we got it from our friend, you have not gotten to the bottom of this issue, and he is still waiting for an adequate answer and adequate refunds/compensation. Now you are trying to shut him up by offering a tiny amount of Kraken fee's as courtesy.

Still, you have not answered the question of the post. Furthermore, now you are even admitting to market manipulation yourself Septimus as you confirm that Kraken is supplying erroneous OHCL-data and Kraken is doingnothing to warn customers and correct the error. FYI, the so-called "errors" still show in the markets....just another indication that you have not gotten to bottom of this issue. As far as we know, you were informed the same day the "errors" took place, and as far as we can tell, no steps were taken to warn customers nor to correct the "errors", not even today when you state that you have gotten to the bottom of this.... LOL

Therefore again...

Again, the questions:
1) How can Kraken justify this criminal behavior? Or in other words. How can Kraken justify this either direct market manipulation, or indirect manipulation by negligence?
2) Why does Kraken not keep to the ToS when it comes to justified refunds?

Additional questions. Seeing that Gil stated that Kraken did (potentially still does) supply erroneous OHLC-data. Why were no steps taken in correcting these errors after they were brought to your attention? (again the note, that there is proof that the "ridiculous pikes" are not caused by erroneous data, but that trades did take place)
BTW, we already expect the following answer regarding the correction of data….”Kraken is not responsible for data displayed by third party tools.” (LOL) In this case the next question. If not possible to have the data corrected, why are customers not made aware by Kraken about these errors in OHLC data so that they can check whether they are affected by this?

To ALL Kraken clients: Be aware of market manipulation by Kraken (even admitted by their client team)

After having answered the questions above, you might want to answer the next question(s).

1) How is a customer to distinguish between erroneous data and real data in case his/her orders were not traded even though their limit was passed according to your OHCL-data? (Just to be plain, you can always say it were misprints to avoid compensations every time a customer is reporting this type of errors)
2) How are you going to treat this type of issues in the future?
   a) How are you going to refund customers for this type of error? (Currently you are still trying to avoid justified and adequate refunds/compensations)
   b) How are you going to warn customers after having been informed about this type of errors?
   c) How are going to correct the wrongly supplied OHCL-data in case of misprints?

Hi CryptoTeng. You would get the best answers to these questions by opening a ticket and escalating that ticket using this form. Thanks for bringing this to our attention.

How about discussing this issue in the open so every client can read it? In the past, when non-public channels were used you only gave BS bingo answers.... so let's keep it here so everyone can see how much you are doing about this issue. Thanks

It is obvious that you do not want to discuss this issue in the open. For us, however, it has gone past the point of dealing with this issue behind closed doors.

How can anyone re-enable features when the integrity of the trade platform is in NO way guaranteed?

Furthermore, how can you be sure that you do not have security issues, if you cannot explain the "so-called misprints"? Maybe someone hacked your systems to place the misprints?

Apparently Kraken has something to hide about this issue as they do not want to discuss it openly. Only increases doubts about the integrity of this platform.

STILL NO ANSWER, so again and again and again

oh and yes, you are not answering to our buddies emails neither, so much for your shitty advise to escalate for getting answer.

update: Another BS answer from your support was received by our buddy. After having been told that Kraken already got to the bottom of the problem, he now was told that the case was now being given to the devs. Kind of weird that he was told that the problem was solved a few emails ago then by Gil. Also kind of weird that you yourself stated that Kraken had gotten to the bottom of this. This just puts further doubts on the credibility of Kraken intentions to solve problems. Actually you performed what is a commonly known as a LIE a few posts back, senior Septimus. LOL

oh and yes, still no refunds and/or compensations given according to Kraken's ToS.

Hi CryptoPravda. Thanks a lot for your request! We have noted your interest and will pass it to our team. While we are always open to adding new digital assets and pairs to our exchange, we never announce in advance which ones will be listed. The best way to get up-to-the-minute details regarding which assets are being listed on Kraken is to read our email newsletters and follow us on social media.  You can find more information and updates in our blog and Twitter accounts:

Anyone managed to get any support on Kraken in past month, are they still in business? I have funds stuck/stolen there. Deposited, added to the account, but can't use to trade or withdraw, it just gives a "null" error. Opened a bunch of tickets, escalated them, no  response.

it's not even something like that, simply some bug in their system. $25k just stuck in limbo and no way to get any contact or support.

The only reason to ignore all these tickets is if they are planning to go out of business soon? Is there any other indication that Kraken might be closing soon?

Hi DomainMagnate. We hadn't come across that yet. Could you please supply your ticket number? I'll be sure to have one of our team members look into this for you.

We aren't going out of business and reach out to our clients as quickly as possible. Please let us know if you need anything else.

so if i did it on Tuesday sepa it should not take more than 5 days right?

You only get support when your issue is easily solved and does not give to much bad PR. However, if you have an issue which they dont like (i.e. look at the problem of market manipulation), then they just start to ignore you. An issue which they do not like in particular is when Kraken would have to pay refunds/compensations for their errors. At first, they will try to keep you happy by giving you some Kraken fee credits, but there will be no real compensation.

Even though one has to accept Krakens ToS it does not mean that Kraken will keep to its own rules.

Best advise, stay away from these SCAMs

If they are planning to leave, then they surely would not promote that they are planning to leave. That would be counterproductive for their SCAM.

About your bug.....it is just that these "money in limbo" bugs occur on a very regular basis. Just think about that. And a few more days to work with $25k can be lucrative. Especially if it is not your own money.
