Let me answer your questions in the same order:

1. Nope. I'm sorry but you have to use a bank account under your name both for deposits and withdrawals.

2. Nope again. You can have multiple bank accounts under your name and use the one of your choice each time, either to deposit or withdraw.

3. If I understand you correctly (please correct me if I'm wrong): You'd like to receive some litecoin into your wallet (wherever it is), transfer all your litecoin on that wallet to Kraken, trade them for fiat currency and then withdraw to a SEPA account, right?  That can be done, as long as the bank account is under your name.

Hi alance. You are welcome to make a deposit from outside of SEPA countries to Fidor Bank AG (Wire Transfer). The reason this note was added is because you will not be able to withdraw your funds. This is a way to ensure that clients inquire beforehand rather than sending a deposit assuming that it can also be withdrawn through this same banking partner. I guess you are outside SEPA zone and can't get an account on a bank within it. In that case you can fund your account with EUR by navigating to Funding > Deposit > Euro (EUR) and choosing “Fidor Bank AG (Wire Transfer) from the dropdown menu. Please note that you can deposit but can't withdraw your EUR using this method.


I'd like to confirm if I can deposit EUR outside SEPA zone countries. The deposit page shows this.

Again, a so-called misprint, ROFL. Honestly, this might be possible. However, seeing your history about this topic, we dont think that your statement can be trusted that it was a misprint, and neither do we expect the dev team to do anything about the issue. It has been almost a year now since the topic was first brought to your attention, and nothing has changed so far.
As this is clearly a fault by Kraken, and you also admit to it, which has a dramatic impact on the OHCL charts and nothing is by Kraken to warn clients and to present the correct charts (at least until now) we have again the following questions:
1) Are you going to compensate people which are affected by your fault? And if yes, how are you going to compensate them? (This type of error clearly does not fall under the clients risk of online trading)
2) How can you justify to keep Kraken running when this type of error occurs and you do nothing to present the correct data after you have acknowledged the situation, not even in your own trading tools? Trading should be suspended until you found the exact reason and the solution to the problem (including to present the correct data).
3) Why are clients not informed about this problem as this can have serious impact on trading?

This does not answer all questions above though nor the ones posted with the previous occurrence, but maybe this is the first step of Kraken to take responsibility in this matter. Interesting. We will inform our buddy who is having this issue with you/Kraken about your statement. Let's see where this leads.

How about Kraken takes its responsibilty for such mistakes and starts to compensate its clients when this type of errors occur as you are clearly having a massive impact on trading by these Gilly Willy pikes? Maybe starting to pay compensation would help Kraken to put real effort in solving this problem than just bluntly lying about it as you did the last time Septimus. Last time nothing was done about it and Kraken profited from the impact on the market.

I got this, so according to them I will be blocked another 1.5 days. Funny enough my SEPA took them 6 days to register when it should be near to immediate, but thats another issue. Apparently their computers also have a day off on sundays and holidays :-)

As a security precaution, withdrawals of up to 125% of the volume of the first EUR deposit into your Kraken account are locked for 72 hours. This means that if your first EUR deposit was €1,000, you won't be able to withdraw the equivalent of €1,250 in either cryptocurrency or fiat for the following 72 hours.

Your ability to trade on Kraken is not limited by this protection measure. We apologize for the inconvenience, but this is something we must require in order to prevent fraud.

If you make another Euro deposit from a German or Austrian bank within these 72 hours, the 72 hours will restart.

Correct, we can't receive deposits on Sundays because banks aren't open on Sundays. If your deposit was credited automatically, then the delay was caused by the SEPA transfer system itself, but if you needed to open a ticket and we had to search for your deposit to manually credit it, it usually means some information on the deposit was incorrect or missing. If you need any clarification on your specific transfer, please let us know in a ticket. Thanks for understanding.

Unfortunately, we don’t have a banking partner that can facilitate international  USD wire transfers at this time. We’ll be sure to let everyone know once we have a new banking partner that can accept USD deposits. In the meantime, use your bank account in the SEPA zone, you can fund your account with a EUR SEPA transfer by navigating to Funding > Deposit > Euro (EUR) and choosing “Fidor Bank AG (SEPA)” from the dropdown menu.

Please note that you can only deposit with this funding method. You will not be able to withdraw your EUR using this method.

And another attempt by Kraken to manipulate  its markets occurred yesterday evening around 21:00 CET. Please check the OHCL data of the BTC/EUR market, another ridiculous Gilly Willy pike (named after Kraken's support member Gil) and trades not taking place.

To all Kraken users: Be warned that Kraken manipulates its market either by direct manipulation of OHCL data, or indirectly by doing nothing to prevent this from happening.  This is occurring since at least spring last year (2017), has been reported then, and also has endured the trade engine update because it has occurred several times after it. Be safe and stay away from these frauds and proven liars (just go back in this thread and see how bluntly Kraken's support lies about their work)!

Until now Kraken denied to explain this issue and answers to several important questions about this issue are not given, maybe they finally would do so as this issue is clearly not solved.  (ROFL, not gonna happen, as you did not answer before. And please dont start your BS about opening a ticket and escalating)

Addition: Please also check the DASH/USD market, as we know for sure that (at least some) trades did not take place in the respective pike even though the limit was passed.
Addition 2: Same goes for the BCH/BCT, ETC/BTC, and LTC/BTC markets.


LTC/USD & ETH/USD markets could also be affected. We are not 100% sure about these 2 markets, but they show very similar Gilly Willys at the same time.

I remember getting this message before their update two times (different dates); on both occasions I just tried again 5 mins later and it worked.

I did, several times, now I just did it again, hours later - same result.
also: I have sent a message to support, got a "false" reply (one that pertains to adding me LTC to my account), corrected it in a reply, then - nothing ....

so I am extremely suspicious now. However my amount is very small, cheating me out of 1.4 LTC really does not make much sense except they are about to close shop and dont care anymore.
