i  play MMO RPG which one said free game, but if you want to be good player ,u must pay more cash to buy game items ,so i LC idea is very good ,earn big cash playing a game.
i will keep watching

 Best Regards

I've dealt with game currencies most of my life, and I've always liked the idea of having a crypto based system in an mmo as long as it's done right. I think this project has a really good chance of succeeding.

Regarding all said about the pay to win model. If you think about it, it's not just a traditional p2w model.

If you have FIAT to spare you buy LCs and get more powerful items from other players. Pretty fair.

But the players who are gathering and selling items are also getting LCs, so they are growing economically strong in case they need to buy something too - the difference is that they started the game without FIAT. Moreover, the best items are free for everyone to farm them - no need to pay to get those.

That's absolutely fantastic IMHO.

Mining while playing is nice idea but, what about the hash rate? It won't be much on a mobile device.

Your phone is not used for mining.

To get the crypto in the game you need to pay for real money.

In the whitepaper they say that there is 3 ways (Website, exchange and inside game with appstore system) and are not talking about directly gaining some in the games, but if there is a market between players and the official currency of the game is the token, I think that a player can win tokens by selling his stuff for tokens.

Edit : After reading again, I confirm, there is a market in the game in which players can make transactions between themselves.

That makes sense. Thanks for clarifying.

These days most of the MMO RPG games are designed for high-end gaming with graphic cards and all. So many left those new games But Lordmancer looks different. The video looks awesome and P2P gaming is one of the best these days. Downloading the android game, will post my review.  Smiley

That's a cool idea! Reminds me of the good old runescape times, where we used to mine iron and rune ores, now we're literally mining money Cheesy nice development in the gaming sector definitely!

Read thought your white paper. One thing I don't really understand is the statement made in the name of this thread, "player can mine cryptocurrency", I can't really figure out how you mean that the player does that? And if there is an explanation in the white paper, let me know where:)

Yup it is stated that the players earn LC doing specific tasks. Basically rewards for completing some tasks.
Which bought me to another question. Is there a maximum total coin?

Wow! A 20 million coins ico!
If the game becomes popular (it should) then the dev will also start burning coins!
I already love this idea.

Oh man, it's like this was invented for me. I am really excited, I scanned the OP, but I'm going back now and I'll be back with some questions if I don't see them already answered in this quite busy and moving thread.

I played a little more. The game is not easy, I tried to beat some shiny mobs, they hit hard  Grin

But hard to understand eveything in the game. I play an orc specialized in melee, So I've access to just a kind of troops ?

I see that the second troop we unlock has some magical power but how do they use their spell (Drummer).

There is some lags but that's normal in beta.

I saw that we need crystal to ugrade our gear past a point, that's really oriented pay to win. Maybe some likes it, but that's not my cup of tea.

I don't have the right kind of phone, but it sure sound like my cup of tea:D It really is a nice to be able to try a game out for free, and then if you do like it, pay a little to evolve your character. I wait with excitement for the game to be fully released:)

The pay to win concept, can be very great. I don't know if you are familiar with the game Travian? Lots of strategy and no graphics, and that model works great. Actually you buy a token in the game,( not crypto) as well to get advantages. They make a lot of money, and have a rather big amount of players that keep coming back for years

A bit new to crypto still, so haven't come across a gaming coin before. I was expecting a half bad game, but the trailer got me pumped! For me gave me the best flashbacks to age of empires. If it actually is something like that on a mobile phone, it will surely succeed!

Pay to win is not so bad if its well managed, the player how pay need to don't have a big advantage on others, or free player would be sad and it don't improve the experience and people stop to play cause of the frustration.
But if pay don't make a huge gap between players, but just a time saver it's good and the economic model willl work nicely. Freemium is not a bad economic model if its managed well and players don't have to pay each time.
I think lordmancer can do great things with cryptocurrencies as a currencies in the game !

If i had a dollar for every "had i known"
Am sure Africans will appreciate it, if Africa is squeezed in somewhere in the staged release strategy. Last i checked they are also active in the gaming community.

Do you also plan to make it accessible on PC? I think Steam would be a good platform because there are a lot of mobile games there.

And they are almost universally hated. Or I must be oblivious to the number of casual players versus grognards and PC masterrace.

Focus all resources into perfecting the mobile experience, that will be hard enough already.

Code:
Lordmancer II target audience
:-85% male-15-35 years old
-Current mid-core mobile RPG audience
-Current online game players

I really doubt P2W is going to fly with that target group. The younger half have little disposable money and will ragequit when they are beaten by rich players with PvP shields. The older players know HOMM, Kings Bounty and other RPGs. Unlike casual players, they are the generation that grew up playing tactical rgs when P2W didn't exist and favor skills.

Have you actually done a market research to see how your target audience responds to this monetization scheme?
