I added all these nodes to my config file

*SNIP*

but I still cannot sync. I'm connected to ten nodes so it doesn't look like a node issue. Mintcoin is running 50% of my cpu power but  remaining blocks to sync are even growing  (are 5581 now) because my wallet is not confirming anything

addnodes in the conf file are largely un-needed UNLESS you somehow cannot initiate DNS queries from your computer (very rare, and you'd know if this was the case).

Your wallet is likely verifying a large chunk of received blocks before continuing to download new ones. During this time it'll see that new blocks are being created, hence the increase in number of blocks to download.

That is just one of the great things I like about Mintcoin. It is very fast, scalable, fungible, energy efficient.

Mintcoin: Get some
Is there a way someone can "stress test" the Mintcoin network to see how many transactions per second it can handle? Some people are wanting to see proof of what it can do. Like a video and evidence on the block explorer. In another thread I mentioned that Mintcoin is able to do up to 1600 transactions per second, which means it is about the most scalable crypto-coin existing right now. But I don't know how to test this. Does anyone know how we could test something like that? Part of the problem I see with even trying to test it, is Mintcoin requires a 0.1 MINT fee for every transaction.

The scalability of Mintcoin is one of the reasons I have invested in it. I think it is great! I just want to be able to show proof to others of what it can do. People need to know what Mintcoin is capable of. The transaction capacity is a major issue with Bitcoin right now, so to prove MINT superior in this aspect would be nice to demonstrate.

IDK about 1600 right now, I think maybe about 140 is the current limit. I we could get up to 1600 if we increased the block size though, which we could do, but I don't think it is necessary at this point though. We are not anywhere near that transaction level right now, we would need to be an order of magnitude higher than the level of transactions on the Bitcoin network currently is to even worry about it. Already the way it is, Mintcoin has the ability to do about 20x the transaction volume as Bitcoin.

I'm on Widows 7 64 bit
I don't use a .conf file at all.

if it looks like it's stuck, check in your mintcoin folder and see if the blockchain file is still getting bigger every few seconds, then you know it is still updating. The GUI will catch up later. That has been my experience anyway.

My wallet doesn't sync. Stuck with 4768 blocks remaining. wallet is using 760mb ram and 30% cpu power then I think it's working
Do I need more nodes in config file?

What version? What OS? What is shown in the debug.log file? What is the last block number and date you have?

Sending a % of one's stake to another address is pretty much what some other coins label as "MultiSend" and it too is on my list of things that can be added to Mint.

I will be porting MultiSend over to XRA within the next few days. You can see that commit for inspiration Grin

Just minted some coins, will send 10% to devs. Thanks for the active development Smiley

EDIT: is it possible to provide an option in recurring send that sends a % of minted coins whenever i mint instead of days. It will be great to share my minted coins with devs automatically.

Thanks for the support. Smiley

Recurring Send is something that is on my list of things to look at, but will not be changed for this upcoming release. There are some fundamental limits to the Recurring Send feature that make it mutually exclusive with Coin Control (something that I personally enable on every PoS coin). It makes sense though, If a user wants the refined level of control that Coin Control offers, having an automated system come in and arbitrarily interfere with that could introduce some pretty unwanted results.

Sending a % of one's stake to another address is pretty much what some other coins label as "MultiSend" and it too is on my list of things that can be added to Mint.

Next release will probably be a bit more than a couple days away. Supasonic and myself have been working on it and while the GUI overhaul is pretty much done, the under-the-hood updates require a bit more time.

Just here to remind everyone. Please keep donating to devs & block explorer. Dev wallet is empty & block explorer has only 44 days left. although one positive thing is
