I think exchanges need to make their security such that even someone within the company cannot access your funds. Time and time again it proves third parties cannot.be trusted if anyone has access to coins other than the owner, eventually coins get swiped.

ax66, can you explain your findings. What was dumped on cryptopia and how you know it was cryptsy coins?
I suspected cryptopia and bter may be involved, it doesn't look like bleutrade is. The exchanges it appears Vern is using to launder cryptsy coins are:

BITTREX: We know on 4/10 he deposited a huge ammount of UNO and apparently tried to liquidate them

POLONIEX: He appears to be active lately unloading eth and mint, posssibly others, also showing heavy activity since 4/10

Other exchanges he has used or may be using:

BTER: He may be active in dumping on bter, the recent dumps look suspicious, he has definitely used it in the past for his embezzlement scheme

CRYPTOPIA: ax66 thinks he's dumping on Cryptopia, this also seems possible

BTCE: Probably not doing much there now, but after Vern did the "critical event" hack inside job, the stolen ltc was partly laundered through btce

KRAKEN: He has also used kraken to launder coins, unknown if he is actively doing so now

Interesting data Fontas Returns.  Thank you for posting.

I'm glad we're stable at this point and coins are going back to open distribution channels.

[EDIT] Fontas Returns, if it helps, I'm hoping to help provide some Cryptsy addresses sometime this weekend

I believe this is the main cryptsy wallet for MINT - or at least one of them; if anyone who has made deposits or withdraws from/to cryptsy and you can report addresses know of cryptsy it can help with investigation. Vern is one of biggest holders.

The suspicious mintcoin transaction appears to be the cryptsy thief liquidating and laundering coins on poloniex:

It looks like the Cryptsy thief may also be dumping ETH on poloniex! Look for big deposits on 4/10

It looks like these are the suspicious ether transaction, the poloniex account associated with these transactions is most likely the cryptsy thief:

Also, has he been dumping ether on polo?

Cryptsy wallets:

Cold wallet - 5000 ETH ,last transaction on 26th.January

https://etherchain.org/account/0x3afca45be577815985f0d83e5e4c738f45804fec

Hot wallet:

https://etherchain.org/account/0xc47aaa860008be6f65b58c6c6e02a84e666efe31

Hot wallet - 0 ETH ,last transaction again 10.April - 0.67 ETH sent to address with 7034 ETH and all txs in that wallet are deposits, not at one withdrawal, and all are deposited on 10th.April !!!, probably Vernon personal wallet from slowly extracted ETH from Cryptsy:

UNOs sent on 10th.April, MINT also, ETH also - that cant be just coincidence

Heads up mint community!
You may know about the recent issues at cryptsy but it looks as though Paul is actively liquidating and dumping MINTcoin on poloniex. If you care about this coin, you may want to contact them and ask them to look into it.

Evidence that shows this?

It's part of a bigger embezzlement scam by Vern. It's not just Mint it's ETH too. Forensics show he moved mint and eth onto poloniex on April 10 and then started dumping them. This is one reason the price has been plummeting so fast these past few days.

The block explorer is out of date on checkpoints and hosting is expiring any minute. How do we get them to update their wallet? Ive donated to this in the past, but I'd like to see them be current with checkpoints before donating more. Maybe if it expires it will get their attention? Any ideas?

https://chainz.cryptoid.info/mint/#!crypto

Step 1 : Add some BTC to keep the explorer running
Hosting for this blockchain will expire on
2016-04-14 (in -0.3 days)

Hosting can be extended by a donation to
BTC 1QJpbqzkyFNcLGsC46DjXJmY1hLgHoya5C

Hosting rate for this blockchain is currently $9.9 per month

Step 2 : PM fairglu that you would like him to update to the latest version (If the Github has changed be sure to tell him what the new one is first)
https://bitcointalksearch.org/user/fairglu-221182

Also you need to let him know he might need that custom bootstrap.dat , if the update crashes his explorer.
If so the explorer will be offline ~40 hours until the custom bootstrap can be loaded or much longer if he has to sync from scratch.

FYI :
FairGlu is one of the Great Guys in Crypto, if Mint version was never updated , it was only because no one ever informed him there was a new release.

 Cool

Btw, just wanted to show, that mint could be more rare than gold someday.. I was talking about it on another thread, and apparently a lot of people don't know that Gold and other precious metals xan be made from glass with microwaves, and its actually cheaper than mining it. The electrons added changed the molecular structure into gold.

You wont get an update from Cryptsy because it no longer exists.

Hey devs, how is the progress on the wallet? Its almost 6 months i think since you started the codebase update. It would be cool if you can give us a report every few weeks. We know you are working hard but if we can see what is being done even if its a bit technical then it would give us some indication how things are going & how far are we from the big release. Thanks for all your work Smiley

EDIT: Something like this will inspire some confidence.

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.14460950

Keep in mind that there have been actual working wallet releases since work was started on the 2.1 codebase.  These releases added new features which are fully documented by the devs and push towards the 2.1 release.  You can see an example of this for wallet version 2.0.2 released on 3/2, about a month ago.  https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.14070605

After the 2.0.2 release, an official bootstrap was released on 3/12 and updated on 4/5.  See the history thread...
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.13798259

Additionally, you can see the devs work on Git with their individual accounts that merge into the main account.  Fuzzbawls release notes for 2.0.2 gives you specific documentation of code changes with direct individual links on Git for each change.

Would additional updates be cool?  Totally.  Should those additional updates come at the expense of writing actual code?

I'm not suggesting your point is invalid.  I'm just asking you to consider the other side of the coin.  Distracting the devs with requests for updates could be counter productive.  I would personally love to offer more updates in relation to coding the 2.1 wallet but general bug fixes and code modernization isn't always that exciting or easily consumable.  If it was then wouldn't you have your eyes glued to Git like your favorite T.V. show?   Wink

[EDIT]  Actually, a 24/7 reality show about development of a coin WOULD be pretty amazing.  24 hour market with a 24 hour show to match.  Cheesy
