I should be very clear.  When I came here I thought the whitepaper was brilliant.  I wanted to donate to the foundation, and help establish message boards like we did with maidsafe.   I even talked my friend into investing, and was trying to convince him to talk to his friend about publicizing NAV.  FWIW, his buddy is the most watched daily bitcoin/altcoin reviewer in the US.

Still considering pushing for the video.  Just waiting to see how this turns out.  Time will tell....

Is this coin fucked as well? what happened? anyone can sum it off? It seems the altcoin world is just a big ass mess these days.

After speaking with a couple exchanges, it seems as if this type of behavior is what is causing the tough legislation in New York.  KYC would have been enough. But since so many devs hide their identity and whois... it has created an unfair business environment where, for better or worse, developers are in supreme control.  Now the govt is being forced to react (or in this case...over react!).

SoopY, originally you offered to post every two days on your progress...and then you changed your mind about your obligations and timeline AFTER people invested. These are not acceptable business practices in the real world.  Broken promises and bad communication like this are killing the altcoin industry.

From what the exchanges tell me, the time is coming when they'll have to clean up their list of coins and prohibit developers who have a track record of not following through.  Right now, exchanges like Cryptsy would chop off their own arm if it meant being able to play nice with regulators.  Perhaps after the double spend was discovered to be the result of a settings error by the dev, they wanted to watch NAV for a good while before making any decisions to move forward.  I'd def do the same.

Tread carefully friend.  I don't think you realize that in the long run, your behavior is effecting everyone more than you think.  If you're going to be anonymous in a business relationship, then you have to behave with the highest level of integrity.  Nothing less is acceptable.

You guys are betting on a dev that was put out for weeks and weeks by a couple sleepless nights and a common cold?

Do you know how many coins there are out there with working Anon already? You're all treating this like it's the next big thing.

By the time Nav Anon is released no one will care, especially at this pace.

Anyway, good luck to all, I hope it works out but I implore you to think objectively about your investment.

Cheers!

This one could be a surprise, the coin survived a double-spend attack, devs are working, community is waiting (^^patience is an art)
and hopefully soon this coin will be very shiny again.

But i must agree altcoin world is in many cases looking shady nowadays.

However i wish you all a nice sunday and special greetings to soopy (you will do it Wink )

Hello
We are sorry but we had to finally use our modarating option. We are opened for discussion/ideas/suggestions, but the baseless FUD and accusations can't be tolerated. We have already explained the current situation in few posts back.
We are working & being here for the real Community, which is able to understand and wait a bit more time.
Thank You for understanding.

Good call! I totally support your decision.
I don't really care about the negative comments or even mind the trolling and FUDing. It's just that it gets a little annoying after a while because every time you come to check this thread, you find every page spammed with the same arguments/complaints over and over again. It's just a waste of space. We all heard your complaints the first time around. Soopy is not gonna show up to address them because he's working on the coin and it's not ready yet and he knows you are not interested to hear that. So you can wait until he's ready to post an update or you can sell and move on.

Agree, but i just cant wait to see the new wallet and that nav tech Cheesy like a child waiting for his candy.

I've done all those installation steps.

I guess I'll just leave the wallet open for a few days and see if it comes right after a while.

Is everyone's wallets staking properly? When I open my wallet, it syncs up, then starts staking, but after a while it gets out of sync and never syncs back up again without restarting the wallet client. This means that all my staking during the out of sync period is not collected. Really frustrating.. I've staked for about a week now and only managed to mine 100 coins or so since it keeps getting stuck out of sync. Any ideas appreciated.
Please check if You have the newest, updated client. Also please check Your message box.
Thank You Wink

I have the latest client as far as I'm aware. It's the 2nd on that Soopy released. It says v2.0.0.0-UT-ZAH in the about section.

I seem to get a couple hours worth of "Accepted" mined transactions directly after loading up the wallet, then everything after that is labelled "Generated but not Accepted" while my wallet starts to slip more and more blocks out of sync.

I was using the default conf file, I've just updated this to have all the extra nodes.

Use Coinbase Account almosanywhere with Shift card
I have spoken with him on skype.  on Thursday. Have seen that he is online since then but not bothering him. I'm not a dev or a friend. Just another NAV users. I did give him some debug logs and crash info like I posted here before.

My (for what that is worth)  understanding is double spend attack was a lot of stress lot of time up no sleep working on code changes to make double spend no longer feasible. Then changes caused synch and crashes which needed a second change to client. then more dealing with exchanges and with other board members to work out out to refund exchanges and convince them to accept coin. like cryptsy's delay.

He got sick with high fever and went to doctor was told to rest and reduce stress for a while. So he is not really watching all the FUD here.

Note even when Beta begins it will be on a another client using testnet not real blockchain (thank goodness) so when open beta it will not do anything to your real coins.

But when that happens it will make believers out of a lot of people and will want to buy NAV and bring price up. even if the anon tx and messaging is not yet in the production code yet. I expect another jump when that happens.

I only have a few tens of thousands of NAV so while I can make some nice money I won't be shopping for a yacht.  Cheesy

SUM2dev do you have any contact with soopy? Is he even alive? It would be good to hear from him, doesn't even matter what precisely  Wink
