my Beans can beat your Beans in a fight
Were anyone's mining rigs attacked? I ask because the computer I use to check my mining rigs had to stop the coinminer virus from being downloaded after the hack. There were repeated attempts. I'm wondering if whomever stole our Bitcoin was attempting to have our mining rigs working for him/her.

What precautions need to be taken? Can a hacker find our individual mining rigs from NiceHash's information? Or was this just a random attack?

Bitcoin Talks Bullshit Walks
What did they say yesterday on live stream?

Bunch of hot air.  I will say the guy on the Left in the vid looks like he knows where the money went. Not batting an eye.  Guy on the right however looks like lost puppy who got his bone taken away.  Will we ever know the truth. Prolly not.

Should be a good wake up for all. When price gets higher more will fall to getting rich quick. We really should start considering going solo on our mining.  It’s how satoshi intended it anyway.  Break away and be punished

how is it possible to steal the bitcoins from bitcoin wallet?

the same way its possible to use a bitcoin wallet everyday, by transfering them out Cheesy

i remember hearing like a year ago Bitgo had dropped them as they refused to follow the insurance rule of only leaving up to 10% max in a hot wallet
of course they never told anyone that, as it would have made people less confident
oh well, people will learn, one day Sad
Actually no, people will never learn

A vivid discussion arose among Bitcoin community about the new Bitcoin XT. Bitcoin XT is a patch set on top of Bitcoin Core, with a focus on upgrades to the peer to peer protocol.

Since NiceHash is operating as a proxy between sellers (miners) and buyer's pools, we are not running our own wallet. That said, we are not using neither the standard Bitcoin Core client or the new Bitcoin XT client for the NiceHash service itself.

That said, mining on our service is not affected by the changes that the Bitcoin XT or any other new Bitcoin client might bring. Furthermore, if you are a buyer of hashing power you can buy hashing power and direct it to any kind of SHA256 pool - weather this pool is using the standard Bitcoin Core or the new Bitcoin XT.

Our online wallet for deposits and managing funds for purchasing hashing power is operated by BitGo and funds are fully insured by BitGo. Since BitGo's wallet is offered as a service, we have no influence on what kind of Bitcoin client is chosen and used by BitGo. Of course we fully trust in BitGo's professional service on choosing the best and most secure underlying infrastructure and technologies, including the back-end Bitcoin client/wallet.

Last but not least we would like to say that we strongly believe in Bitcoin as technology and currency and are confident that the community and users will consolidate and choose the best and most appropriate Bitcoin client(s).

Thank you for using our service and keep on hashing!

Best regards,
NiceHash team

Thanks man.
This is more than a proof that We are facing with a exit scam. We should report to the relevant authorities and law enforcement for making them stop.

Good luck to all .....
PS: if you are mining BTC you can use CK pools also. Otherwise there are always risks involved. No matter which pool you use

You can try my solo ltc pool
http://ltc.tbdice.org
Here is my forum thread:
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.24579768

It is the only one TRUE SOLO LTC + DOGE MM POOL left as far as i am aware.
And i must state that only solo pools are insured against this scenario as long as your coins are generated directly to your LTC/DOGE wallet inside CB transaction
PS: My pool thread explains why i am posting from newbie account if you are curious

I miss when crypto was about decentralisation.
Not once used Nicehash - I have IM's from there forum account asking me to move from MMR to themselves.
Nothing seemed right with the company - I've seen other forums where Equipment owners have been denied payments due to "technical issues".
I even managed to get 5 blocks by renting with MMR (wish I had held on to them longer)..

My 5th block was mined using 350Th (oh the days of small rentals) Proof can be found here - https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.10211347

My advice if your renting stick with Mining Rig Rentals all problems are quickly resolved either by the rig owners. I cant see a downside to using their services @ http://tinyurl.com/qencw96

Gotta love the sneaky attempt to shill your own referral link.

Official press release regarding the NiceHash security breach

Unfortunately, there has been a security breach involving NiceHash website. We are currently investigating the nature of the incident and, as a result, we are stopping all operations for the next 24 hours.

Importantly, our payment system was compromised and the contents of the NiceHash Bitcoin wallet have been stolen. We are working to verify the precise number of BTC taken.

Clearly, this is a matter of deep concern and we are working hard to rectify the matter in the coming days. In addition to undertaking our own investigation, the incident has been reported to the relevant authorities and law enforcement and we are co-operating with them as a matter of urgency.

We are fully committed to restoring the NiceHash service with the highest security measures at the earliest opportunity.

We would not exist without our devoted buyers and miners all around the globe. We understand that you will have a lot of questions, and we ask for patience and understanding while we investigate the causes and find the appropriate solutions for the future of the service. We will endeavour to update you at regular intervals.

While the full scope of what happened is not yet known, we recommend, as a precaution, that you change your online passwords.

We are truly sorry for any inconvenience that this may have caused and are committing every resource towards solving this issue as soon as possible.

Best strategy for exit, I lost BTC1.4

Best and Traditional strategy for exit scamming that beginning by:

Oh folks,,,, someone hacked us and all BTC gone.
We are so sorry ....
A old story that we saw in many popular sites and we will see at Bittrex and Poloniex and Yobit very soon.

I am sorry man. you lost much. you shouldn't leave your BTC in a online wallet.

Bittrex ? Care to elaborate ?
