ALIEN has been started to rise!

It is the moment where you can invest for just 1 Satoshi worth Currency and get make 18 times more when it goes up to 18 Satoshi Wink

You can find it on this Market:
https://yobit.net/en/trade/ALIEN/BTC

Have fun!

I was going to say that seems to be a different coin, but my ALN client validates the ALIEN address supplied by yobit (although it is under maint)

Good luck making a return on investment for ALIEN @yobit when there's a massive 58 BTC sell wall, with no buy orders. For the price to go up to even 2 satoshis there would need to be $800,000+ USD worth sold. Guess you're a bag holder.

edit: looks like it is a different coin: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/aliencoin-powpos-coin-halving-every-500-blocks-1888612

lol, I warn of massive reversals of the blockchain for this coin, then 3 weeks later it gets added to an exchange. Smiley

Keep an eye on exchange ledger versus client balance because if the reversals are deliberate then the attacker can easily double spend.

I don't know whether this is due to a deliberate attack, or it's because someone has a miner that's gone rogue. Note that disconnecting 3008 blocks on 04/10/16 effectively deleted the previous 25+ hours worth of mining!

If you're still mining this coin, don't be surprised if you get all your blocks orphaned.

block explorer? not sure where, but somewhere
estimated inflation over the next 10 years? great question. I would also ask for 1year and 2 year inflation. 10 y is too long investment for everyone

the information is needed for http://alt19.com/19/cryptocurrency.php

Congrats for your work. Like the indexes

thanks

Mars 'Pyramid' Is Proof Of Alien Life Claim UFO Hunters

The pyramid-shaped object was found by the paranormal YouTube channel ParanormalCrucible and supposedly shows an artificial object that mimics the Great Pyramids of Ancient Egypt.

It was found buried within video footage from NASA's Curiosity rover however ParanormalCrucible claim that NASA deliberately chose not to take any more footage of the shape.

The site says: "Due to the size of the object about the scale of a small car I would theorize that the artefact is either the capstone of a much larger pyramid possibly buried deep beneath the surface or perhaps a marker stone."

One does wonder then why they would allow one picture to go unchecked and yet hold back hundreds of others.

Finally. I been seeing UFO's for years but whenever I tell anyone they laugh at me.

Community takeover?

Yeah, may be time for that. I offered several months ago to fix up the retargeting (needs per-block difficulty retarget), but then the dev reappeared, so I thought we were good.

I can add per-block retargeting to the source and compile a new client, but it will require a hard fork, so Cryptsy and any other exchanges (are there any left?) would need to be on board. I'll need help with that.

A hard fork could be a little difficult to schedule because of the erratic block rate. If I set it for (say) 14400 blocks into the future, we could find those in 2 weeks if the network was minting at the normal rate, or if blocks slowed significantly due to getting stuck at a higher difficulty (like it did 6 months ago), it could be a month or two before we hit that point...

There must be a strong team behind the hard fork. So for the moment I dont think we are in that step. just my opinion.

any other thing we can make for helping ALN?

New exchanges?
PR?

I think fixing the block generation rate is of utmost importance. No point adding it to newer exchanges when at times there can be literally hours between blocks. Right now the network is relatively stable, but in the past there have been periods where difficulty oscillates between two values, limited only by code that prevents it adjusting (either up or down) by more than a factor of 4.

I'm not proposing to take over as superstar dev and rocket the coin forward, just quietly fix this fundamental problem as the first priority. I'm not the only one who can do it, but SOMEONE needs to do it. I first brought up this issue nearly a year ago.
