I have purchased a new computer, and I have a .dat backup of my wallet on a USB stick.
What do I do to get my ALN back from the .dat file I have?
Please help me, do not want to lose the ALN I have mined before.

Just install the wallet from scratch as you normally would, after installation copy your backup wallet.dat to the folder of the newly installed ALN data, that should give you back your address and coins, it will take a while to resync a new wallet from scratch so give it time. What do I do to get my ALN back from the .dat file I have?
Please help me, do not want to lose the ALN I have mined before.

The sites seem fine to me.
Votes at Cryptsy are at 18256 and rising slowly. I think it should get added sooner or later, especially if the dev gives some of that 1% to Big Vern.
And yes.. sites are offline. All the Aliencoin support I was providing nodes, dicegame, the "official site" http://alienco.in, the paper wallet generate, the block crawler, one of the p2pools, the nomp pool, and a few other resources. I took them all offline over a week ago.
I'm glad you are all still mining and continuing with the coin, but it really doesn't have much of a future unless one of you takes over the development. BUT... when you do take over the coin. The dev will come out of hiding, get all angry that nobody is stealing his coin, and then promise to do a zillion things, then just disappear again.
