PascalCoin Build 1.4.3

Hi PascalCoin users

New build 1.4.3 is ready.

It has some minor changes, also prevents "old time" mining.
Windows installer includes OpenCL miner

Source code is at GitHub:
https://github.com/PascalCoin/PascalCoin

Binaries, Windows installer, blockchain... at SourceForge:
https://sourceforge.net/projects/pascalcoin/files

Good work !
Maybe good idea to store cached nodes in a dat file ?
Should speed up initial connect.

basyaru please run latest daemon ASAP.  If not, we will ask miners to abandon your pool.

Nanopool should be considered hostile at this point. (1. stealing hashrates, 2. DDoSing Suprnova and then 3. the time-attacks) I think it makes sense for every miner to abandon them.

the nano shit pool keep attacking, time not update, all miners leave the shit pool

We are not attacking. We are still waiting the source code of the fixed Pascal coin from the dev. And we are trying to fix it manually.

couldn't agree more. all delayed blocks with future timestamps are coming from the nanopool nodes.

Could someone make a tutorial how to back up a wallet in case of hardware failure or some other reason?

What is needed to recreate a wallet on another device? Will public key + private key be enough?
Which files to download to a usb and what keys/passwords to write on paper?

imho you need only private key/keys (must be exported in the encrypted state and stored somewhere → don't forget the encryption pass).
Thanks for reply!
I quess I have to try that to be sure.

u'r welcome.

u can check this advice very simply: just export the private key → install wallet on the another pc & import the key into wallet → if it works as should → advice was right. ☺

I found a block with version 1.4.2, got 5 accounts
I have sent one of them to somebody else as a gift. Remaining 4 accounts.

I Generated a new Private key.
Renamed my key with the linked Accounts.
Renamed the new key to be the same as the previous one.
Deleted the old one.

After application close and restart my accounts are lost.

I learned that All 5 accounts are linked to a single key ?
Correct ? Shouln't be but? Where are my accounts ? They were there while I was closing the app. ?
Many thanks for any answers

As I understand, just creating and renaming the key does not connects it to the account. If you deleted private key that was connected with your account, you just lost control of your account. The only way to get your account back is restoring your private key (from backup or smth.).

To change the private key for the account, you must create a new private key, generate new public key and then transfer account using the new public key.

Dev or others please correct me if I'm wrong...

Thank you.
What I do not understand is whay I loose all 4 accounts ? Most probably I made a mistake somewhere. I imported my keys file. No way. Thanks anyway. will becareful next time.

On top there is an option to view all private keys or certain ones, do you have all of them selected? The accounts would be tied to the public key.

Thank you for the answer, yes the checkbox is selected.

According to suprnova they already deployed the new deamon and such..why you wait then?
Don't get it.

We've fixed the code on the server side ourselves. First trial had a bug making some blocks with the same timestamps, but we've fixed it already.

We will NEVER use pre-compiled binaries on the server side. We always compile the sources we've checked and downloaded from the official github/site.
