Here we go again
whats up with the frekkin Open ledger Peerplays from before the swap.
Still says "THE OWNER OF PEERPLAYS HAS DISABLED TRADING IN THIS MARKET." and not numbers of the Asset are no properly updated yet.

Like WTF ?

Peerplays On OL before the Blockchain launch was just a UIA....and is no longer valid.

You might have better success if you download the wallet and use your private key to claim those PPY - http://www.peerplays.com/news/how-to-claim-your-ppy-tokens/

Note - After you do that, create a new usewrname and send your PPY to that address...and then send them where ever you want.

AHHH now that worked.
Thank you very much Sir.
I wasnt aware that bts tokens where just uia and need to be extra claimed after this.

That info shóuld get pinned in op.
Would be frekkin useful !

Now Moon pls.

Hi Jocuserious,

could you quickly say a few words about DPOS? Do token holders receive block rewards similar to the POS mechanism or is it only a specific group that receives block rewards within DPOS? Do I just have to hold tokens in order to receive block rewards or do I have to be voted for by the network somehow?

DPOS is 'Delegated Proof of Stake'.  That means that token holders are able to vote for the people who are handling the blocks.  In order to gain Block Rewards, one needs to have a dedicated server ish type of stuff that I don't understand.  There are many places one could go to learn more about this - https://steemit.com/steemit-guides/@pfunk/a-full-steemit-user-s-guide-to-steem-witnesses - is a good place to get generalities (I am unsure if there are differences between how steemit does it and how Peerplays does it but it looks similar).

So with Peerplays, holders get dividends once people start gambling in peer to peer settings.  The witnesses are the ones who get the block rewards and can be voted on or off based on the voting weight of holders.

As for the Peerplays Telegram link - https://t.me/peerplays

Once again Jocuserious, your input is much appreciated!

any news on this coin? i want the casino to start then it will be really expensive and will beat a lot of market coins.

just why development is so slow? after year preparation for ITO it should run smooth with casino right away

Not really a casino.  Eight, which will feature peer to peer tournaments and allow developers to create their own games with Unity 3D graphics will be released in August sometime.  Bookie, which will be a decentralized sports exchange, gets released in November.

Both release dates are currently on track per the roadmap which was stipulated in May.  Sweeps and Mobile apps will hopefully be released in Q1 2018.

Graphene operates with DPOS, or Delegated Proof of Stake, much like BitShares, Steemit, and eventually EOS.

And apologies for the tardiness of the reply, but yes.  Username is what you use to send PPY to your wallet.  If you are sending to an exchange then you must use the username that they provide AND the memo stipulated.  If it is a BTS account from the ICO/Sharedrop, you must create a new account and transfer the balance to your new username prior to sending to an exchange.

Could anybody here say something about potential limits that Peerplays faces in comparison to a comparable platform launched on the Ethereum network?
Could a platform on Ethereum scale up to the same processing speed at some point in time that Graphene can bring about?

What comparable platform launched on the Ethereum network are you talking about?

Peerplays will be launched on Graphene (same platform used by BitShares, Steem and Muse).
It currently offers the fastest block production time and the highest throughput of any decentralized blockchain consensus mechanism available - 3 second blocks and 100,000 transactions per second.

Thank you for our response. I just thought that I read quite some stuff about gaming platforms recently, some of which were associated with Ethereum I think. I was just wondering whether there is any advantage using the ETH blockchain over the one PPY is using now.

I am trying to transfer PPY from the Openledger echange to Livecoin but keep getting the message below (account details edited out):

"owner mismatch from account XXX is not whitelisted for asset 1 3 924 unable to transfer XX peerplays from XX to livecoin net"

Can anyone help with this ?

Yeah.  Don't do that.  The creator of the PPY gateway for OpenLedger has stated that they are incompatible with Livecoin.

Send your coins to your wallet and then to OpenLedger.

Thanks for that advice. Presumably if I want to send PPY to my PPY wallet I should send them to the account name that i created the account with ? I cannot see any other wallet address in my PPY wallet to which to send.

As for the dividend, is it important to own PPY at the point in time of the dividend payout or does the holding time-frame also play a role?
Also, the word "core" token is often mentioned here: is that simply the PPY I can purchase at, for example, livecoin.net or cryptodao.com?

Any help will be appreciated.

Once the Dapps and Bookie are operational, dividends should occur anywhere from every hour to every 24 hours...and all you have to is hold them in your wallet.  That's it.

I don't really know what core means....it's probably just the actual PPY token since it is no longer a UIA.  And yeah, livecoin or cryptodao...and now openledger.

Sounds very good! Can't wait to see what's waiting on us.

Hey I'm wanted to buy some Peerplays tokens but wanted to clarify from the white paper when it said Core token holders receive a portion of every jackpot paid.

It said it was distributed at regular intervals into the accounts of Peerplays core token holders as profit sharing.

How would these Dividends be paid out? In peerplay tokens only? And could these be then traded for other Alt Coins for Cashout if I wanted?

The dividends would be paid automatically and in the coin that the wager was placed.  Keep in mind that coinholders will vote to decide which coins to allow - but once a coin is voted in then the 'infrastructure' will be designed and placed in the wallet.  So think of Peerplays as an eventual multi coin wallet. We just don't know which coins yet (Gridcoin seems pretty interested and I like the idea of adding a solid but low cap coin off the bat)...I think August is when Eight releases and that will hopefully be the first time that we get to see how all of this works...: )

And you'll be able to send them wherever once they have been deposited...otherwise, what's the point?
