Another blockchain based gaming platform. Hope there is some innovation over many gaming platforms on the market.

Lol.  Peerplays started before the others.

It's only an addition to your perception because you weren't around two years ago...

Jocuserious where are you? Smiley I am missing your informative updates! Do you know anything about the efforts to solve the current problems with Helmbet?

Apologies.  I signed off from the internet for the most part in the last several weeks...mostly due to personal reasons.

I am sure that by now, you have noticed that Pacatum pushed an update and they are continuing work to improve the dapp.  But likely there won't be much interest in it until BTC betting is implemented which hopefully occurs by the end of the year. Because I and others have little interest in betting more than a few tenths of a Peerplays token just to gamble on an admittedly cool rendition of rock/paper/scissors. And to mention a bit more on that, in case anyone was interested, Eight was actually supposed to be a slew of Eight minigames.  But it got stalled because the code required to ensure that third party devs could stipulate a small percentage for their effort is a bit more complicated then they anticipated.  So all resources are on Bookie and they'll revisit enabling third party access afterwards. Which makes sense.  Bookie is the one that will grab attention.

There is other news.  But a community member has risen on Telegram that is much better at updates then I am.  I fully recommend subscribing to the Telegram channel if you haven't yet.  Senter fills in the blanks between the two week newsletters (which I hope you are signed up for!) and podcast airings.

I will mention something that was posted by Jonathan and I haven't seen specifically discouraged to speak of.  He presented ExeBlock/Peerplays in front of institutional investors at a meetup hosted by Pi Financial.

There is a lot of behind the scenes shuffling going on and as far as I can tell, we are waiting for BTC integration in helmbet/Peerplays wallet, the Exeblock roadmap (for the uninitiated, a private company headed by principle Peerplays designer Jonathan Baha'i, dedicated to creating Dapps for Peerplays), and ultimately, the simultaneous release of the Pro Bookie Dapp and Casual Mobile Bookie App.

Most of this will be spaced out over weeks/months heading into the end of Q1 2018.  So if the thread goes dormant for awhile, I wouldn't sweat it.  Join the Telegram channel for nonchalant updates...: )

Guys I wanted to ask you something. Do we have anybody from the team who is active on this thread? cause it seems to me they have abandoned this thread completely!
on twitter last post was almost a month ago. other social networking platforms has almost no presence.
Imo almost all crypto projects are like this. almost no interactions with the investors at all. Makes me really angry sometimes.

Hey netnutter,

you are indeed right that this thread has been more or less abandoned by the team. However, that does not mean they are not active behind the scenes and making constant progress with development. Please join the telegram group here: https://t.me/PeerplaysBlockchain

There are a few great people providing a lot of interesting info about the project and a great community in general. Join us and find out!

looking forward to peerplay get listed on bitshares

What do you mean? Peerplays is already listed on the Bithsares decentralized exchange. Either as OPEN.PPY (decentralized, correct me if I am wrong) or as the real PPY token, but via a centralized gateway.

I think he didn't know that bitshares and openledger are more or less the same thing. lol

Smiley that could be possible. Well, then I hope I helped a little bit out here and he makes the right decision and gets himself some Peerplays.

Anyone know why it's up 250% today?

Oct newsletter hasn't been released yet. I hope they'll announce a new exchange which would explain the price jump (inside trading).

That is one possible explanation, but I am not sure whether someone would freak out so hard and buy up everything and push the price 250%. Not impossible of course.

Hi guys,

I have a quick question about the total market supply of Peerplays tokens.

I noticed that the total supply of ppy tokens is about 5.5 million, and the circulating supply about 3.8 million.
Is 5.5 million the final amount of supply or will there be more tokens created over time?

Thanks in advance,
Daan

This place has become even more quiet now after the big price dump. I am not entirely sure, but I think that the rest of those coins is not in circulation, since they are locked down for a pre-specified period of time. Once the lock-down period expires, those PPY can be sold by their respective investors. I might be wrong though. Hopefully somebody jumps in and confirms or corrects what I said.

Although I hold a decent smount if PPY... I’m starting to question if it will be considered a security in the US.  With the reward system in place... and the gambling overall.

The wallet for PPY is the best single coin wallet around, I don’t have any concerns with the team creating an amazing product.  Just concern for over regulation in the United States.

Any thoughts?

I would say that there is no doubt that this qualifies as a security as it is a dividend paying token. I am not sure in how far you are allowed to hold PPY then, but if I remember correctly, weren't US citizens excluded back then from participating in the ICO?
