I sent a message to Steve and Clif to see either could clarify and waiting for a response. Obviously, the incentive to buy PPT is the increased value of your token due to the platform increased value and we can buy invoices using our appreciated PPT value.....however, if whales with 10s of millions jump in and can simply buy pokens with fiat who's to say that smaller PPT owners will even have a chance to buy invoices....Sad

I agree. I just asked this question in the Slack group as well as on a few YouTube channels I watch.

I can't seem to wrap my head around WHY the price of PPT would go up?

If you can simply invest fiat, why go through the trouble of owning PPT?

A common answer is, "Because PPT will appreciate, thus, giving you more buying power".

Okay, but that still doesn't answer the question: WHY will PPT appreciate? If you don't NEED the token to use the platform, why would it increase in value?

Hopefully we can get an answer to this.

Great point!! Yes, hope to get answers and thanks for asking that!

Can anyone clarify this for me.....do u need PPT to enter the platform 2 Buy invoices or can any whale w/ fiat simply enter and buy? Hope the 1st. I thought that's why it was so critical to be a PPT holder to have exclusive rights to it but maybe I'm wrong. Hopefully not.

Based on what I read in the whitepaper and what I've seen in videos and interviews, you DON'T need PPT to invest in invoices.

If true, I find that unfortunate as well as there will be no incentive to buy PPT when you can simply invest fiat.

Maybe Populous can give a comment on this?

are there any other places where there are lots of populous holders? slack? discord?

You can try slack, but it's kinda dead unless you get accepted to the off topic room.
#slack. No discord yet Smiley

Does anyone here have experience with the Mercatox exchange? Is it legit? The prices seems to always be higher on that exchange.

We're getting a bit overextended right now.

I expect a slight pullback soon.

Once that happens, we'll hit new highs around $10 or so within the next 24 to 48 hours.

That's my prediction.

I love PPT....I own PPT.....my only question is how does it compete with online companies like "Marketinvoice.com" ? from what I understand, they have a low 1 - 3 %  fee for invoice financing.....will the auction model bring this cost lower?
Yes, bit. PPT significantly lowers costs across the board.
Look for clif high interview of Nico earlier in this thread or on clif's utube channel. Smiley

So the alpha has not been released yet, right? Cliff just got to review it and check it out basically before anyone else?
From what I gather, Cliffadamus is supposed to stress test the shit out of it and then they can tie up any loose ends before they unveil it in the fall. Then, it's go time.
