What a unique project, how does it work?
The service will be empowered by blockchain which can store the patients' eyesight history in a secure and private manner so that users can select who can access their data and receive VBK tokens as a reward if their data will be used for scientific purposes.
Awesome! Any other plans in the future?
VisionBanker plans to expand globally, and hence the patient's data stored with VisionBanker can stimulate scientific research and open new economic opportunities for eye care and eyewear producers.
In VisionBanker, blockchain is used to store users eye health records and other information which gives full data control to the data owner and provides transparency on data usage. Users can enjoy the borderless experience with their health records as there is no limitation in transporting their records with them as they travel.

I find your announcement a little bit contradicting each other, I thought the data stored will be private, as in only allowed to be accessed by the record owner's permission, yet insurance companies and public authority could access them?
A user has full data ownership of his records. Others cannot access the data by any means except for his/her permission.

If it require the owner's permission, it's not really annonymized as there are way to track said data, and if it didn't require owner's permission, thus the system deployed their customer's data without their consensus, it's a breach of privacy. Further, what will the customer get from this data purchase? Will they get certain percentage? If so, how to gain/give the proof of payment without revealing customer's identity? Will they didn't get anything other than a thank you letters for their constitution? Thus, probably securing their privacy but their data got monetized without beneficial feedback.
Sorry about the confusion. Users have total control over their records. It's just, there is an option for them to allow their data to be used for research in exchange for VBK token.

Will you be cooperating with big providers for glasses? In which countries do you plan to roll out your product first?
Yes! We do have plans of collaborating with renowned eyewear brands like Rayban, Gucci, Hoya and others for new designs. As for target countries, I'm afraid that there are no specifics yet but we will keep you in the loop!
