Will the KYC procedure be optional (case to case basis) or it is definitely required in order to use the exchange?

Im impatient to see the demo of the platform, it’s relaly important for a project like ternion to have a good demo to motivate investors and bring confidence to the platform, especially for an exchange.
Me too, I am eager to see even their alpha final product just to understand more how it's gonna be like.

I don't think this is much of a problem. None of the decentralized exchanges have much volume currently. It's apparent that the market prefers centralized exchanges at this point.

Then the market is an idiot, because centralized exchanges defeat the whole point of blockchain: that the ledger is public and transparent. That means those parts where the ledger is private and opaque, there is a high risk of manipulation, such as self-trading and fake buy and sell walls.

Therefore I am quite skeptical there can be such a thing as a good hybrid exchange. Because if some transactions cannot be traced, all decentralized transactions connected to those untraceable transactions cannot be fully traced. Thereby a hybrid exchange marries the disadvantages of decentralization (slow, hard to scale, frontrunning) with the disadvantages of centralization (single point of failure, need to trust the institute not to commit fraud, KYC/AML).

Lot's of people are keeping exchanges as banks as no one wants to be responsible of their own keys. Being responsible of something you don't fully understand can be very scary for newbies especially. I mean just for copy pasting a private key could lead to losing it all.

some exchanges require KYC for a certain limit but maybe if you will just withdraw or deposit in small amount, there's no need for KYC. but was looking for their exchange, not yet up? it says from the roadmap that by this time, they already launched the exchange???

Demo exchange is in their website, and the beta version will be coming soon, there is a limit for kyc in Ternion too, 1000 Euro or equivalent amount.
so if one buys token from the demo exchange for a value of 999 euros the kyc is not necessary? and any purchased tokens can be moved immediately to an own wallet?...

Well, fake buy and sell walls plus wash trading are a thing in decentralized exchange too. I see only a couple exchanges where you can't do that, Bancor and Flip.me (I don't know BarterDEX since i never used it)
The key will be to take the strong point of bouth exchanges, centralized and descentralized, not their weak points.
If they can be the first to realize this idea, then the exchange will be popular. In this difficult time for crypto, people do not have the opportunity to invest, because their funds are frozen in other projects. I think there may be a flow of new investors through Fiat.

off chain order books like IDEX is a good trade off, until someone build a decentralized exchange on a faster platform. And btw you need to sign with your address when you put tokens on IDEX's order books

is ternion is going to use block chain for all transaction or going to offload orderbook? most decentralize exchange try to do everything on chain at the cost of seed of transactions. We need faster transaction with low cost to attract main stream investors.

What i am loving is that this is Estonian project, because that's very crypto-friendly country that was planning to make their own national cryptocurrency.

Estonia is trying become a hub for tech startups, lots of my friends moved over there for this reason. Also Estonia supports crypto currency as a country.

I believe that the values collected are only a start, considering that the project is only in the initial phase and is very solid, the next stages should still make it possible to reach and pass SoftCap more easily

I have positive vibes about Ternion and the values of the founders and team is appreciable right now and hopefully it will reach the soft cap soon so that we will see it getting real. We may see a bull run anytime soon now and with that investments flow in to altcoin market.

On the official website you can see the token sale progress. Currently it says that more than $1,7 mil was collected.

this is very encouraging considering the market we're in. I don't remember the last time I saw an ICO do this good.

is it going to be tier discounts based on token hold on platform? Crypto need more fiat integration in order for more money flow. Current issue is transaction fee is very high when trade with fiat.

Glad you've pointed that out with regards to transaction fee and withdrawal fee because some exchanges have very high fees and maybe they could find a resolution to such issues thereby lowering those aforementioned fees.

You can see their fees in the whitepaper (p. 10-11). The fees look kinda ok, I just don't know what assessment fees are.

You are right, in this country there is a favorable situation for progress, as far as I know in Europe not will be able to ban exchange without good reasons, as it can do in Asia.
That is  the governmental matter and depends fully on it and national legislation. Theoretically, any state can ban crypto...
