Glow Stick Dance!
Looks like the SF100 second batch will be mid-August - at the SAME insanely high 8000 yuan price.

I suspect the next batch doing "pre-sale mining, errr testing" might explain the recent Litecoin hash increases and perhaps a small amount of the recent Bitcoin hashrate bump.

I'm confused...mid-august? 8000 rmb is terrible...more like SF-TARDS if you ask me!

What month is this? Lol.

the average life span of a mining company seems to be about 12 months...whatever happened to gridseed?

GridSeed + WiiBox + Diginforce = SFARDS

And this company is still open, and making miners (most likely).  They at least did one batch of miners.

They seem to be another company that is not interested in selling to public.  I still think batch one they had one big buyer who put them in a data center for last LTC mining before that having.  But I could be wrong.

If they would have went to general public when they said it was, it would have sold quite a few.  Yes with scrypt there is a premium.

But you could not even get them for most unless you went to a reseller who got them and were wanting around 2k.... and yes its crazy

The farmboy A2 are actually some sort of partnership of whats left of zeusminer. They are taking all the old zeusminer hardware (cases, heatsinks, fans, cabling etc) and just slapping on new A2 based boards on them.

Im actually trying to get them to sell just boards so I can replace all my old zeus stuff. Got them down to $90 a board if I do a massive order, but thats still pricy for 15 MH per board.

So you end up paying $360 to "upgrade" vs $500 to buy a whole unit.

Amazing I did not think they would team up with zeus.  Makes sense Zeus is outdated on their chips by far.

I keep hoping to see sfards being sold in here but never do.

SFARDS did e-mail me back saying they would have a batch 2 order but no time was given so I wouldn't expect if for a while i noticed LTC difficulty was dropping now its on its way back up so i suspect someone is turning on the lights on some new gear

They have either a big customer or are mining on their own I think.  I am not sure which but it's odd for a product to come out and need only 5 units to select resellers.

I wonder if eventually they will sell them though.  They got the end of ltc having so maybe who ever owns them they will sell and they call it batch 2.  I just hope price goes down with ltc having.
I have seen the price at around 1500 on aliexpress now, they may realize they aren't going to sell or make what they wanted to off them.

Part of reason of dropping though is LTC having.  These people ran them befoe having.  Now if they can see for more then the 1200 they paid talk about a nice profit.

They get a profit on selling gear.  And basically get free LTC from mining before having.

Yup thats waht i did , bough 7 units around 1100 , mined with them for a month and 4 of em on ebay for 1300-1400

I'll keep 3 I think for speculating on pools

Where did you get the units from?   It seemed pretty rare to end up in users hands.

You need to visit the mining altcoins thread a bit more , Innosilicon is still selling A2s in a new form factor now , something called the A2 farm boy, I was going to buy  a batch of those but with the current prices of LTC i will wait for them to lower prices a bit.

Do you have a link to these?  It does not surprise me if they still did sell as not a whole lot of dev in scrypt.

Were all waiting on someone hopefully to make a miner and share with public.

Thanks for sharing.  Sure does not make me think they are close with A4 if they are still messing with A2 on new model.

But I could be wrong on that.

But they sold very little to public.  This shows likely a big buyer or themselves are mining with them.  As I think they would not just drop product after having chip work.

Yes, this is equal to failure. If they were to mine by themselves, then why spam bitcointalk and telling false promises to users? If targeting a single (few) mega buyer(s), again, why bothering with false advertising for the public?

More likely someone with a lot of cash came in and bough them all before LTC having.  They could have not predicted this or counted on it being main option till deal was done.  If they did this chances are NDA's prevent talk of it.

These miners are out there somewhere.   Two most likely are one big investor or kept internal.  If they kept internal they could have used for LTC having time.   Then sell them as batch 2 sometime in future.

I have a feeling of this miner being a complete and total failure. High price, low to none availability. Sfards, why do you even bother to shit on bitcointalk, do some teasing and advertising, and then not providing anything at all for the community? All I see here in this long thread is hundreds hours spent of users, looking to find something useful and ended up having nothing but false promises.

It was not failure some relesellers had a few just a few.  So we know they can make it and it does work.

If you have hardware sitting around you're mistake was hanging on to it for too long, you should sell off your hardware after using if for six to eight months or a year at max, then use the process to buy new shit

I dont have any of my sp30s, sp20s from last year

Agree 100%.  The moment I saw BITMAIN's thread on the new chip on the S7, I logged in to eBay and put up 44 of my rigs up for auction.  I had them all listed by the time we BITMAIN's thread had started it's 2nd page.  I re-invested that into 9 x S7's.

I'm not sure what SFard's will do now with the price of their SF100 now that the S7 is out.  They might stop manufacturing the SF100 all together.  I just don't see them selling too many more of these.

It all depends on your electricity.  But i suggest doing ROI monthly to see if it's time for selling.

i sold all my S4's, C1's , and dragon 1.5.   Man was the dragon 1.5 heavy almost 50 pounds.
