Is anyone capable of integrating these kenels into SG-Miner v5? These are heavily optimized compared to the current qubit kernel.

https://github.com/MaxDZ8/M8M/tree/master/M8M/kernels

Also if anyone needs a pool for a coin let me know and I can open one up. Just trying to help contribute to the mining community.

Curious is yours working, the most recent build? I just keep getting socket closed even if I run it as Administrator (Failed Send, Socket Reset)

Working but only when connecting to a P2Pool. A bit unfortunate since I run my own pools.

Ah gotcha. I was also connecting to a P2Pool myself, and kept getting that error. I'll check for a later build then since I'm not sure why it's doing it

how much should R9290 usually be hitting?

It was only the wind.
just by applying the groestl improvements (some of them have been made public months ago) you get a boost ;-)

Nice, I'll do that. I'm working my way down from the top of X15.

From what I have seen, some improvements can be made, but don't expect miracles like in some single algo coins.

Some? I've gotten over 20% out of it - tested on 7850, 7950, 270X, 280X, 290, and 290X. I'm not even that far in, and that was mostly low-hanging fruit.

well on groestl I've been 2.5x

I meant I got over 20% on X15 as a whole - not a single algorithm. Apples and moon rocks.

I'm using the Version of badman74 signature, sgminer 5.0 mod with an 14.6 RC3 Catalyst on 3 R9 290s.
Can anybody tell me why the Hashrates are "just" at about 15 and only go up sometimes to about 19-20?

Can't explain that to me. I'm using the cards to provide NIST5 hashs for Nicehash.

Here is my config:

I am also wondering this.

Code is very similar to sph ported... can you highlight some interesting differences?

if you are talking to me... try making a diff and you'll se that, apart from the constant table (which is taken from the groestl drafts), very few lines are equal.
seriously, if I was to find, remember and explain all the changes, it'd take days.

Oh, I've been looking for the SGMiner thread - finally found it. Anyway, is there a way to set the algorithm and then the name of a custom kernel? That would be great - currently, to test mine, I have to swap it out for the stock one. 20% to 25% faster so far on the X algos, though, so not bad.

End of the optimized kernel experiment! :-)
Everybody pushed for an opensource release and nobody made an offer.
I'm happy that it ended like this as I strongly belive in opensource.

can someone please explain the advantages when using windows 7 64bit of compiling my own miner compared to using a .exe file that has already been compiled
cheers
