I agree on poll option 1. If signatum 2 goes alive sigt 1 must be "burned". However i'm really intersted how do you "burn" those sigt 1 coins  Roll Eyes

Please let me know how will u make those unusable to anyone!

So I'm not an expert but this is the way I understand a hard fork...
SIGT V1 will continue running as long as there is nodes up and everything on that chain should stay the same as it is/was.  I don't think they can actually burn coins on the original chain, they don't have control of it, hence the hard fork.
SIGT V2 will hard fork off of V1 which means they basically just take a copy of V1 blockchain at a certain block #.  Once this is done, it's a new blockchain that has nothing to do with V1 and they can go in different directions.  This allows the devs to setup a swap which is basically users getting 25% of the V1 coins they had in V2 coins.
I'm not sure of the details on how they "enforce" a swap on the new chain however.

If I'm wrong, someone please correct me.

swapping to sigt.v2
was supporting this project from the time I've heard of it and will support in the future.
Someone also mentioned that we might have mining option for v2 as was it in v1 dunno.
For me it became a long term investment and hope current team is more confident than prev one.
Anyways keep it up, despite all the shitstorm there are lot more supporters

Hey,
It is as simple as sending them to an address that doesn't exist.

Signatum 1 is not dead and not going to be dead 👈
19.5 Guy 👈❤️🙏🏻❤️🤠🤡

I wish you were right, but the people who control the important parts of SIGT V1 have cashed out and will never been seen again.
Unfortunately a coin that is incomplete, not being worked on, and can't be worked because the guys with keys are gone, is dead in my eyes.

SIGT V2 is a whole new coin.  To me, my holdings in SIGT are now just so I can swap.
V1 isn't going anywhere so there is no reason to believe the price is going to go up, it's been on a steady dive pretty much since the crowetic thing.

And for those worrying about the price, don't, you can't possibly know what is going to happen here valuewise.
It will depend on the actual progress being made and the efficiency of the marketing.  Right now, the new team has put a lot of time and effort into getting a re-brand going so the project can get a fresh start.  Maybe it will flop out again, but I want to see how it goes before I make a firm decision on how confident I am in the new team.  I have nothing to lose at this point, cashing out my sigt V1 just isn't worth it, so I have to hope V2 can do what the first project was supposed to do.

Why burn old coins, I do not understand?
This is also how to get your bitcoin gold and at the same time burn bitcoin.
What danger does the signatum1 have for signatum2 in order to burn it?

Leave the corpse of the Sigt1 at rest

Mentioning a burn will create a hype and extra value Smiley I am in favor of burn.

If there will be no more Nova and Yobit wallets ... where and how can we keep SIGT 1 until we know what's going on and what is the next step?

For voting will be nice to have more information about sigt 2 (algo, emission, dev fee, etc). And why chosen rate is 4 to 1 (why not 1 to 1)?

you can find all information on the first 3 threads.

The total swap supply will be 34,375,000 coins, its lower than 137,000,000 actual supply for sigt 1.0
so thats the reason why coinswap is 4:1

with an additional 28% split across team members (20%) and the treasury fund (8%). As the coin supply is projected to increase year-on-year that ownership share and treasure fund will over time be diluted significantly to around 4.5% after 20 years.

How will the premine be handled?

To be clear, the premine will not be paid out on day zero of the new blockchain.  The payments will be made on a monthly/quarterly basis (salary/bonuses of sorts).  All addresses of the core team will be made visible and the funds will be controlled by Cryptovore and Squbs within the core team. We are keen on making this a transparent process.  We are doing our uppermost to ensure that this is treated in a professional manner, aligning developers incentives with that of investors and keen to alleviate many aspects of principal-agent asymmetries.  We are dedicated to making this work for all of us.

The PoW Algorithm

The new PoW is being built on the Lyra2REv2 hashing algorithm.  This algorithm was chosen as it has been peer-reviewed and is currently one of the most up to date implementations on the market, whilst being reasonably power efficient, comparatively.  Moreover, most miners and market participants are already knowledgeable about how to mine and calculate profitability for the algorithm, thus significantly reducing barriers to entry.  Various algorithms have been  considered, but we believe the trade-offs are marginal.

Sad that this process (burning, distribution, dev fund, etc) will be in trustfull mode when we have smart contracts systems. But maybe it's good that in this short period devs can feel like digital gods.

But yes, we should have listened to the warnings. Now lets see how this new coin is before we judge.

I hesitantly admit both him and cryptodevil were right after all and was too willing to believe otherwise due to the already sizeable loss.

We wait and see.

Dont like Idea about another " Anonymous DEV team"

We didn't learn nothing from recent past?

Okay, wise guy. Do you have any idea how much money people lost on Sigt? I am down 95% on my investment.

I am pretty mad at the whole situation, but I do realize the current team should not be held responsible. I imagine there are many less level-headed types around there.

The current team had nothing to do with the nodes getting shut down, the original team going missing etc. - all are community members who've been with the coin since its inception.
They could still get targeted and revealing their identities could very well compromise their personal lives, their jobs etc.

If you had trust issues with anonymous devs, you shouldn't have bought/mined sigt in the first place. Invest in an ICO and keep this discussion productive.
You should have listened to the warnings I have been posting 2 months in row, nobody believed me, everyone called me FUD'er bla bla
This is what you get beeing a following sheep, use your brain and this won't happen

Also cryptodevil posted some real prove afterwards, noobs didn't listn just believed what they wanted to believe
You can't recover this project, you can't revive a drown horse, it's dead: no investors will ever invest in this project anymore
Leave this be you all lost your money, you knew investing in cryptocurrencies were high risk, get over it.

Yeah Signatum is dead. Signatum 2 (name will change) is a new coin. New main devs, new chain, new aglgo, new plan. The only part of old signatum remaining is community devs who joined after launch wanting to help and that they are giving holders of signatum coins instead of the normal airdrop etc. I dont see why it should not have a fair chance? And they will have a instant decent sized community.

But yes, we should have listened to the warnings. Now lets see how this new coin is before we judge.
