They do sell cards for Fiat as in-game you must use Fiat to get epic and rare cards quickly, which is the only reason you spend fiat in-game other than to extend your stamina. It is very clear that this in-game fiat to buy cards is supposed to have a match burn in BCY, there is no other way to interpret the above statement about in-game app store card purchases.... to argue you buy cards with gems is not an argument, because you need fiat to buy gems.

This is not about Gems but about cards. EDS right now dont sell cards for fiat but only for BCY from 3 merchants. They were selling them 2 years to partners and players so they can now resell them to new players.  As I understood they will sell packs of cards every now and then. Like when seasons ends. We will see i have no ideas how will all looks. All this is long time planed.  Or maybe will be totally different and that is why was moved away.
OP was renewed few months ago most likely for the official launch. I like it was since now looks nicer and some things was removed and new added.

It was never said that BCY will get burned for gems. At least I did not read it anywhere. It for sure dont write on this what I just quoted.

In the past two days the order book on Poloniex has jumped more than 200% with almost no buying or selling action. Huge buy orders make up the order book and most are way down the price list....

So either inside money is betting on a dump. Or pumper money is prepping the pump....

The weakest link here is defiantly marketing and communication. Which is not terrible because most coins have it the other way around, putting the hype over the development. But weekly updates from devs on this forum defiantly need to be a thing. This project needs some momentum and excitement so that when the next big update drops someone cares or at least knows about it and we don't end up with just 10,000 measly downloads.

Card stats definitely need to be added into the book of orbs asap. No one wants to spend a decent sum of money on a mystery card and sogassets.com isn't even mobile friendly

I don't think there would be any posts. This has to be the most inactive thread for coin announcements I have ever seen for a coin that actually has a real legit user base....... I think all of the bitcointalk investors have long walked away.

That was a free blockchain card that all SoG players received when installing the new release from Google and App Store before the end of April.
It was distributed by the team to all people entitled to it. So it's an external card not a card you get in-game.

I have heard this a few times now.... and I notice that the Announcement initial post no longer mentions it, but this has ALWAYS been the case. Internet archives shows the original purpose of BCY, it says and I quote:

BitCrystals have always been expected to be part of the in-game economy, see Scenario A above.

Can someone speak on this with authority please? Why was the in-game economy usage of BCY removed from the original post?

I think bcy team going to develop such feature as "Blockchanization" of a card, so ingame card you can put on blockchain

Is it possible to find Blockchaincards in Spells of Genesis?

I really doubt they are burning from the ingame sales, I think it is only the card sales for BCY.

Any speculation on Burn report?

Here is mine:

April 1-20th. Regular beta stuff going on. I think only 15k in BCY to burn for that time period.

April 20th-30th. 10,000 users. I am going to say an average spend of $15 a person. That is $150,000. Minus Apple fees of $30,000. That leaves $120k, EDS probably removes overhead like taxes. So I am speculating 50k or 161,000 BCY to be burned. Plus the 15k from earlier in the month, that is 176k bcy.

I suppose they can burn their owned BCY. Buying $60k on polo would push the price up 25%.

This is another reason they need to burn minimum weekly, preferably daily. It will cost EDS less money spreading things out and be better for the market.

book of orbs needs this, asap

Yeah this is a bit of an annoyance, why don't they show any stats on the merchant page and you have to look them up someplace else?

You can find the asset on https://counterpartychain.io and see the issuance and lock status.

Also in Book of Orbs when you click on a card it will show you its availability and a lock (open or closed) according to if locked or unlocked.
