GPU Miner

Windows binary: http://spreadcoin.net/files/Spread-GPU-miner.zip
Source code: https://github.com/spreadcoin-project/gpu-miner

Don't forget to read included readme, it describes how to launch it. Even if you did solo-mining before it is still worth reading.
I'm going to try this out on my R9 290X. I hope it doesn't crash my computer. (My R9 is a little bit broken)

Why making a GPU miner is good:

It will cost people a lot more power to generate a block, this will then boost the price because the price normally depends on the amount of electricity required to mine a block.

Why making a GPU miner is bad:

The average joe with a laptop won't be able to mine a block unless they are extremely lucky.

Why the above fact is good:

Because then the coin becomes a lot more scarce, therefore more expensive.

See! A GPU miner is good!

Btw, once the GPU miner comes out, I would recommend you hold your coins until the price rises by at least x10. Smiley

You have no clue about mining and prices. How can you even write such a rubbish.  Roll Eyes
Rubbish? Well, ok, maybe the last statement is a bit too optimistic.

And here's a GPU miner for the NVIDIA crew. Compute 3.0 support should be easy enough, but for now it's 3.5/5.0/5.2 only.

Latest release works with compute 3.0 too, slow as hell though compared to 5.0.

I support Dev to develop GPU miner, bcz in the long run,GPU miner is inevitable to come out.For fairness reason,it is the best that Dev release it so that everyone can use it at the same time.

Sorry, but that is untrue! The amount of coins generated is still the same, no matter what the miner is. It becomes more concentrated in the hands of few, not more scarce! And concentration does not increase the value, but also makes it more prone to pump&dump schemes. So no, those are not good reasons to have GPU miners. The good reason to have a GPU miner is, as Mr. Spread already said, that SOMEONE ALREADY HAS ONE and is keeping all the coins to himself! So making a free GPU miner that everyone can use will ease this concentration, at least for now.
I meant that people with cpu's stop getting a lot of coins because it is harder to mine. I guess you're right. With Bitcoin it seems that at the end/start of ever month the miners dump their coins to pay the bills. But that's what makes it secure. If one person can easily get more than 50% of the hashrate then something needs to be done.

I see good future for SPR as the best CPU coin. When it will become true GPU coin I will quit Sad

I will quit too. No needs GPU. Just protect from botnets.
I understand your feelings. But GPU miner is inevitable as time goes, the most fair way is for everyone to get the GPU miner at the same time.

Mr Spread, how's the GPU miner going? Is it going to be released really soon?
Yes, I a little bit underestimated the complexity when I said that it will be ready in 2 days but I am working hard it is almost ready. What we are talking here are a few days at most.

It's fixed now. Sorry again. I was too fussy about it. I cannot make spoiler for some reason, so I will just delete all my comment. It was about wrong balance.

Well personally i haven't ad any issue like yours on BetaShareX. Just happens sometimes the order for some markets freeze, but support team always solved very quickly.
As someone said it's still a new exchange and need some shaping and fixing yet but i think this is gonna be the next bittrex soon.

Maybe many of you are in crypto world only from few months and you maybe have never tried Cryptsy or poloniex, or coinedup in their first months of life...also those exchanges were so damn buggy and slow that betasharex is perfect in comparison...

And i would like to remember that betasharex is the first exhange who added and supported SPR ...

Agree! Smiley
