so let me get this straight if i buy supernet unitys I get dividends from ALL assets on supernet or just certain ones ....im still confused  Huh

you will get dividends of all assets released related to supernet, AND you will also get dividends from all the affiliates that supernet owns portions of.
so once they are all up and running JUST FOR OWNING SUPERNET you will get dividends from
Privatebet
InstantDEX
NXTprivacy
Atomic
NeoDICE
NXTcoinsco
cryptocard
Pangea
FreeMarket
Omnigames
etc...

plus you will get paid asset dividends and the assets that you got from dividends will then later PAY dividends
+1
This is the sweetest thing about holding SuperNET assets aside from all the tech/development behind it that many do not realize yet.

But of course this is what makes us early adopters Smiley

Thanks Cassius and Mr E 2 factor authentication would be a nice start.

Honestly if NXT accounts get mass hacked it can bring down superNet this needs to be addressed asap!

We as Whive are also in the superNet we are an organization with experience in SMS and Social Media App development.

We are wondering what problem remains to be solved in crypto world that we can solve employing our skills, off course we have our ideas but I am sure that there are some huge pain points Cry that you guys have seen that we can help in...

Ideas are welcome Huh

there is no way to mass attack all NXT clients

Trust me when I say you will want to keep your SuperNET in your NXT wallet. You can also go ahead and use the early beta SuperNET wallet but remember that it is beta and not all functions are there yet. Coinomat works along with the production server MGW. https://nxtforum.org/lite-multigateway-releases/supernet-v1-3-4-3/

As for dividend payments. SuperNET pays out asset dividends for services that is being funded with use in SuperNET. In the future any other services that SuperNET funds will also be payed out as asset dividends. All these funded assets also can be traded separately through the NXT asset exchange located in the NXT/SuperNET wallet. SuperNET also buys up large amounts of asset it finds profitable to invest in for it's holders. Because of this SuperNET will also pay out dividend in NXT since all the assets it holds is receiving NXT fees from people using the service. The fees from these services is much small compared to  the more centralized counterparts to encourage usage. The more users of SuperNET the more fees to be payed out and the higher the NXT dividend is received. As for when SuperNET will start to pay out dividends in NXT? I'm not sure. Only the people in charge know that.

I'm not in charge, but I believe the working assumption is the end of the year.
The nominal date for SuperNET launch is Christmas. I'm not sure what revenue-generating services will be up and running by then, though. It's possible neoDICE will be, and perhaps one or two others.

My question is for NXT experts.

I find the login Passphrase on brain wallet to be a single point of failure/weakness for using NXT and NXT related tools! Why? Because most people cant memorize the long pass phrase and they have to write it down somewhere...

What additional measures can one take to secure NXT wallet given how critical a platform it will be in the near future with MGW and SuperNet?

I am working on an application that will allow you to use your wallet or other nxt services, while requiring you to have the confirm the transactions on a mobile device. So a form of 2 factor, yet trustless, auth.

Yes, it's a point of controversy Smiley
Some NXT wallets do use a wallet.dat. I think the MOFO wallet does (I didn't name it...)
You can also use secureae.com, which is a web wallet that includes the Asset Exchange, though I think it will still require a long password of some sort - not sure.
People use stuff like Keepass and other apps like it.

yea, its an investment into the future.
If all works out well, getting in at the early stages is always best.
Not sure why you would want to calculate profits atm since its too early for that.
again read the newsletters @ supernet.org.
you'll then understand the details of what you are investing in.

when are they paid? monthly weekly etc? could i keep em at bter and still get dividends?  Smiley

well i think they are still in the making of their asset dividends, thus far i have received 18 pangea shares for 195 UNITY.
I think originally it was aimed to get paid dividends starting from jan 2015 altho i'm not 100% since there is so much to read on other alts and sorts, that sometimes one can forget details.
but you can keep them on BTer yes, dividends there are paid to the UNITY owners as i've understood.
but its best to keep them in the same place i've read else you could miss out on dividends being paid by BTer when they see you have no UNITY balance anymore after they get send the dividends.
so pick wallet or BTer, and I think a new BTCD or superNET wallet version including UNITY shares is being created as we speak.

18 pangea equals to how many btc or usd? 195*$3.50=$682.5 .... let me figure out if its worth investing my easily earned btcs  Grin

One pangea asset costs about 27-30 NXT. So right now it's not a lot. But pangea is still in early development as well. If I were you I would have a look at the NeoDICE and InstantDEX assets. NeoDICE will be a decentralized satoshi dice, and instantDEX will pay out the fees that were generated through instant transactions. (They don't pay out anything yet because SuperNET is not live)
I bought those extra through the Nxt asset exchange, because the superNET dividends are still quite small. Of course that will change once it goes live, but it's always good to have some extra dividend paying assets Wink

ok and how are dividends paid and how much...basically how it works once i buy 800k unitys  Cheesy  Cool
If I'm correct up to now only some assets have been distributed amongst SuperNET (and Nxtventure) holders, like NeoDICE and Pangea (poker). In future, when SuperNET goes live and people start really using the features, also 'earnings' in transaction fees and earnings from projects like FreeMarket will be distributed via SuperNET. But I think it's too early for that.
Please correct me if I'm wrong Smiley

they are send to your NXT wallet where you keep your shares.(don't have to keep it open)
the % of each existing asset are in the newsletters on supernet.org but new assets are still being developped and added.
You can trade those assets in the wallet for NXT in their asset exchange, but haven't tried it yet since i will be holding the dividends.
