The exchanges I know on are Europex and Rockytrade ...  Can't say much for the price.

https://www.europex.eu/#!coin/btc/tea
https://www.rockytrade.net/index.php?page=trade&market=134

For the Windows-QT wallet,  This is the latest ZIP I have and used ...
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B1XWTNNbRnggNGphem4yUi1OZ2M/view?usp=sharing

I don't usually post links to compiled code as I would not use them myself but standard disclaimer of use at your own risk.

Rockytrade is reported, by Firefox, as untrustworthy.  Teacoin on Europex.eu is flatlined, trade-wise.

I seek to give this coin new life and purpose.  A hard reset is necessary.  But, without a dev onboard, it's just wishful thinking.

Q. Where are the pools?

At this time pools are not needed as difficulty is low.  Just open the wallet and on the debug/console use "setgenerate true X" (where X is the number of CPU cores to mine with)  or solo mine it directly with your miner.

I wouldn't exchange it at the moment,  Wink  Only markets that I know of are on https://www.europex.eu/#!coin/btc/tea and https://www.allcrypt.com/market?id=600# (going away soon).   I'm holding and going to continue to Mine the chain.

Q. Where are the pools?

I have looked and can find no active pools.  No exchanges.  All-Crypt was hacked and is now down.  The Facebook page is non-responsive (Admin won't reply, no one posting, etc.).  Site is gone.  Can't find a usable wallet (only one I could find uses a different icon (not the green leaves teacup icon)), only the source code.  Etc.

As far as I can tell, Teacoin (TEA) is as dead as a crypto can be.  If it were not for the very concept of what Teacoin WAS supposed to represent, I wouldn't even BE here.  Teacoin (TEA) WAS supposed to represent health and happiness by tea consumption.  Apparently that was just a nice idea and pretty image, with no actual substance.  Now we see where that has lead.  It was JUST another "namecoin" (coin with a pretty name) and had the lifespan of one.  But I want to CHANGE that!

If you like DRINKING tea and herbal teas and would like to revive this coin, based on ACTUAL value of said consumption, then speak up.  I have contacted Facebook (on their own Facebook page) and will attempt to acquire the page as the new Admin, but that may be a long shot.  I have recommended they take the page down, if no one can be reached and they can't release it to someone else.  We can restart it, if that happens.

We need someone (a dev) willing to work with this new concept and a different coin source code.  What I envision is totally unlike anything that exists today.  This coin will not be just another "more advanced" version of coin technology, promoted with a nice name, but rather a coin that you actually USE.  This coin may never be worth ANYTHING on an exchange, but it will be 100% USABLE, no matter what.

Technically, Teacoin COULD be used for this concept, but with so much of it, how do you determine it's actual trade value?  I believe a "hard reset" (totally new concept) is necessary, to make this revival possible.  A new, modified name is also quite likely...

Any comments?  Discussion is the first step...

What is the value of a coin that you can't trade on an exchange (and what is it's worth on either exchange), as the case may be soon?  A value-less coin cannot be traded amongst fellow miners, as both would have plenty and nothing of product to exchange.  It is nothing but a bunch of ones and zeros on your computer, with an interesting logo.  And what will you do with it, once you cannot trade it at all?  Enjoy having mined it, period?  Waste of an electric bill, in my mind.

Teacoin (TEA) is dead, so far as I can tell, and will not be returning from the grave without a serious concept reset.

A good concept, poorly executed, leads to failure.  Failure, of a good concept well executed, is not failure, but opportunity for refinement of another try.

We've seen the first... let's try for the latter, should it come.

I also have an slight interest as a holder of 742274.5212948 TEA and climbing.  Been mining this coin while testing sole pools, mainly due it's low difficulty, but became 'attached'.  I just like it.

Anyone else out there on the block chain? Would like to see it revived/fixed.

If you were to exchange it, what coin can you exchange it for and how much of that coin?  I, personally, would recommend doing that, because if this "revival" can be done, owners of massive quantities of Teacoin would render the value of TEA (for trade purposes) next to nil.  Otherwise, you could technically buy up every tea product ever made and still have tons left over.  Teacoin millionaires make it impossible to decide how many Teacoin to sell a Tea product for... 10,000 TEA, 100K TEA?  It gets crazy.  Zimbabwe dollars, anyone?  Yeah... kinda like that.

My desire is to reset the whole Teacoin eco-system and make it very specific to buying Tea products.  If people decide it has value outside of that eco-system, let them decide it's worth for something other than tea product (gambling, clothing, games, etc.).  But my belief is that we have to essentially "start over", to give everyone a fair start and a level playing field.

The only other option would be, essentially, a redistribution of Teacoin wealth, where everyone basically has about the same amount.  This would mean finding out who has how much and making sure everyone with a Teacoin wallet has a similar amount.  Mining stops.  This coin, if revived, would be very specifically used and, therefore, you don't need thousands+ to buy tea product with, because you don't base Teacoin on the value of something other than Teacoin.

Basically, a sample of tea (1 teabag worth) would cost 5-10 TEA maximum + shipping (paid by the seller (in trade for a certain amount of extra TEA)).  Beyond that, is decided between the seller and the buyer.  How much is your tea worth to you and how bad does your customer want it?  That determines how many TEA is exchanged in the end.

No more of this, "Well, 10K TEA is worth 500K Satoshis, which is $1 USD..."  or whatever.  Then, you're simply looking at USD as the trade medium and not really looking at TEA... I want to change that, by tightening up the circle of exchange to JUST Tea in trade for TEA.

I don't want people looking at Teacoin as simply a value holder for another type of coin (which failed).  That's pointless.  Why even call it Teacoin then?  ANY coin can be used for that.  But the very premise of the logo and idea of Teacoin is to further health and happiness through a unique beverage called tea or tisane (non-tea leaf teas).   That's why I want to revive it... so it can actually be used exclusively for THAT purpose.

Discussions may begin... now. :-D

Free Tea to the next post with teacoin address.....

I am interested in reviving Teacoin (TEA).  Is wallet source code all that's needed?  How do I take over the Teacoin FaceBook page (current Admin is not talking and no activity has been forthcoming since last year) and get a new main website for it?  If I can revive Teacoin, I am willing to offer compensation for any and all holders of "old" TEA (within a 1 month time window), as I plan to make several changes to the purpose of Teacoin, by creating a very specific eco-system for it.

Anyone who is a developer is more than welcome to come on board to assist (I'm not a programmer).

My belief is that Teacoin was meant to be spent, buying Tea products.  That never took off (no specific eco-system was ever formed/supported).  But, it's name is so specific, it has no "general" value, beyond that, as I can see.  It's general "cryptocoin value" floundered and fell into the abyss, because it was simply seen as one more aimless coin in the ocean of cryptos, with no discernible value outside of it's name (which lost value quite rapidly).  Therefore, it is necessary to start over.  A hard reboot, if you will.

Word of mouth, to those who like Tea... black, green, white, herbal (Tisanes), etc., is what we use to start the eco-system.  Those who can MAKE their own teas (I like making my own home-grown organic Lemongrass tea (classified as a Tisane) and blends of the same), and desire to sell it to others, are the next layer.  Finding buyers and sellers that inter-communicate with each other is how Teacoin commerce is started.

Teacoin gains value on exchanges, by having real-world value to people who use it to buy Tea products.

And the ball goes rolling from there...

Teacoin.net is down.  The domain name expired.  I suspect support or use of this coin is in dire straits.  Does anyone know anything more?  If it is dead/dying, I think creating a very specific eco-system devoted to this coin will help revive it.  But interest must be there to help keep it afloat.

I think creating a game that generates Teacoin would be a good idea.  Not a faucet... an actual game.  Tea Farmer.  This game generates TEA based on how well you perform your tasks, how fast you complete them, how much tea you grow, process, and sell, etc.  The more time and effort you put into the game and the better you do, the more TEA you earn.  Real reward for virtual work!

If we can find tea vendors, sellers, buyers, shops, etc. willing to accept TEA based on it's own intrinsic monetary value (which would have to be decided), that is the eco-system we are attempting to create.  Why else have a coin named after a beverage, when it can't be used to buy that very thing it's named after?  Seems kinda silly to me.  And why monetize Teacoin based on another coin, such as Bitcoin/Litecoin/Doge, etc.?  People only hold onto it, in hopes it will be worth more in another currency, than actually trade it to buy it's namesake!

And, finally, I think another value incentive is to change the coin from PoW to PoS.  Keep the stake value reasonable... like 5 TEA reward per 100 TEA held in the wallet, every 10-15 days.  I'm really enjoying holding 6900 Hobonickels (HBN), because I get rewarded more HBN just for holding them!  Like a bank account.

But having TEA is meaningless if they have no value to anyone or anywhere.  We must be able to USE Teacoin, not just HAVE them.  I'm assuming it's speculative value is pretty much non-existent, if it can only be traded for Doge now.  Let's give TEA a new lease on life, shall we?

To our health!

Not sure what to do about the pool for TeaCoin.
