Is it still worth mining for TEA... where can you exchange for Bitcoin?

Possible, Yes. Difficulty currently at 109. Reward is 1 Tea.
Profitable.... different question altogether.

Well the offical site seems to be down as of 12/1/14 - so I'd guess the dev stopped paying the webhost... RIP

It's a 'feature' of most Bitcoin clones if they did not change the halving reward code.
