Did you see the BitMine A1 1GH/W @ 200GH Video?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=91MuwGOgRFo

Are these the same batch of A1 chips we got, or are they a later more efficient batch?

Just wondering if my Hex8A1 will run 1GH/W @ 200GH or if later batches of Hex8A1 will be more efficient?

Hex8A1s not arrived yet so still in speculating mode.  Roll Eyes

UPDATE: Oh, I see they use 12x A1 chips per board to get 200GH/200W so not going to be that good with 8x. Aww. 17.5GH a chip.

17.5GH x 8 = 140GH @ 1GH/1W I estimate on the Hex8A1.

Thanks for the link  Grin

So,
All 10-th feb orders are packed.
Part of them went out of the door.

@marto74: All 10th Feb orders shipped?

My Status still says "preparation in progress" as we know from Gator-hex there could be the status "shipped" Smiley

Yes indeed, it's not worth that kind of language and behaviour. Patience he will sort it .

In the mean time, ignoring the user prevents it from ever being noticed again. Smiley

So my order got shipped today, thanks for this Smiley

any specs now about needed PSU power?
I only have 2 rails with 22A and from what I have read so far,
It will not be enough, right?

regards
You need at least 40 amps for oc
If two retails  22 a each is the bottom line 44a total
I am having 700 w single rail rated at 55a 12v no issues
However if you under lock volt you will need less

not sure if my 4 pci express wires are connected to those 2 rails...
so with oc you mean for at least 260 GH/s it should be sufficient theoratically?

Depends of your board but around 260 . I can not guarantee you that. For instance I have some dead chip cores. To clock it and get around  260 you need 45 amps at least. I pushed my beyond safe limits and it is making 270 g but I will go back to 230-240 just to be on a safe side

Is this board also have the "ground reference problem" ?
Dude the ground reference problem is not related to the board itsef so best practice is always to use one psu only or same plug(not recommended)

Ok, gonna power the raspi through the 5V output of the PSU i'll use for the board...

Super! that is a right way to go dude Smiley

In that case you can cut red usb data wire  red one +5v from pi to board itself or to the hub just in case. It is not necessary though Smiley

Well if i can protect my board (and my raspi) from burnin i think i'll do this Wink
I was in a hurry to install my board so i skipped this part but my tp-link and my borad are powered from same psu no external power for tplink First thing i do is to garbage al 5V external power adapters. i am cutting the plug only (Hubs) Grin

My solution is here https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.4642613

Moral of the story is always use a power protected USB hub!

Good to know, thanks all.
My plan was to directly plug the board to the raspi, but now i'll put a protected hub between them Wink
And i will power both raspi, hub and miner with the same PSU.

I'm just looking for a guide about how to power the raspi with a standard PSU, since raspi power connector is a micro USB...

The Rasbury Pi has long been know to have USB/power issues. Using a TP-Link TL-MR3020 is recommend instead as your 2W mining PC!

The image for that is on the Technobit download page: http://technobit.eu/index.php?id_product=53&controller=product&id_lang=1#

TP-Link ordered, i'll flash it by myself.
Thanks all for advice, now waiting for the board...
