I'm very saddened to see LiteCoinPool.org (LCP) go in this protectionist direction. I have been running my L3+ on the site since I got it a month ago. I appreciated the low threshold/payout that THEY set up and offered. It's not fair, or mature, to accuse miners of "abuse" when YOU, LCP, set the standards for payout! So, without notice, tweet, blog post to your over 12,000+ dedicated miners, you change the rules, obscure those new rules, and act petulant to the very miners which support your site. NOT professional.

Hey, it's your pool, do what you wish. But don't expect the very people you've just insulted and accused of abuse to stick around. And on that note, even with your "102%," your frequently changing difficulty, and arbitrary (read: secret) payout policy change, miners will just head back over to Nicehash or Prohashing. After all, at the time of this post, they are both paying MORE than you!.

I've liked being a part of the LCP community and felt like it was a good place to mine, but now, with whatever is going on internally, I know that I and my L3+ are expendable and being treated badly for following THEIR RULES!

So, goodbye for now LCP. I hope you get your act together and become a positive force in the mining community once again. Until then, I will be mining at a pool that does not call their thousands of miners "abusers."

Ok, but we were using what you had stated there.
You allowed those payout thresholds. The intent wasn't to abuse but to consume what you allowed.

I understand why, but it seems like what we did was reprimanded, when we followed what was on the page.
There were no reprimands though, and no form of penalization was applied. Payout intervals were simply adjusted where needed to conform to the new limits.

1. Do you intend on increasing the hours more?
It's not currently planned, but it may happen. We are in the process of optimizing the payout process, and it could take some time.

2. You don't mention how you can decrease the hours, if payout is enough. What is enough?
We are still refining the exact formula, but the principle is straightforward. You can simply set your desired threshold, and put the shortest interval that would be acceptable to you. When you save the settings, the interval will be automatically adjusted upwards as needed.

Why has the payout time changed from 2 hours to 4 hours and now 6 hours?

It was only increased for those accounts that set a low auto-payout threshold, to prevent abuse.
The minimum allowed payout interval was actually decreased, but intervals below 6 hours can now only be set if you set your payout threshold high enough.

In any case, I have follow up questions:

1. Do you intend on increasing the hours more?
2. You don't mention how you can decrease the hours, if payout is enough. What is enough?

It would help if you published a clarification table.

Thank you for providing an awesome service.

is there anyway to use a 443 or 80 port to get to litecoinpool?

Not by direct connection. The only ports supported by the pool are 3333, 8080, and 3443 (TLS only). You could of course set up a TCP proxy somewhere outside the network and connect to it.

Hopefully somebody reads this from the site.

I have 4 L3+'s and I was running at home but because I can get free power from work I have moved 2 of them over for the moment and will move the other 2 soon but the issue I have is all ports are blocked on the network except 80 and 443 and I can't ask the IT guys to unblock. I have started to hash on prohashing and antpool but don't really like it, is there anyway to use a 443 or 80 port to get to litecoinpool?

I am trying to setup my own ssh tunnel or vpn but its being difficult.

Thanks,

D

Popping in to say thank you. Been using this pool since September and very impressed and thankful. Super reliable, extremely flexible, and trustworthy.

I have an array of things going, from a pair of L3+ units, a hive full of R1-LTC units, a chunk of Moonlander 2’s and even a CPU program... all easily attached to my account, and all chugging away quite nicely.

Many thanks to pooler and team.

I have 4 miners working with LitecoinPool (I'm @gooeydesigner) and love the service. I'm building a supporting product (ASIC container box) for small, decentralized miners who are trying to cope with heat, noise, risk of fire, and all of the other pains I'm sure some of us share!

I am nearing the end of the design phase and am beginning physical prototyping tomorrow. I'm working with some of my friends in manufacturing to create moulds so that I can scale up operations. I know this sort of thing has been attempted on DIY blogs and I've seen plenty of modified coolers on YouTube trying to do the same thing. I'm hoping to create something more professional and design-y (to please the wife/family!) and more cost effective for the small scale miner. I want to reduce the pain and clutter a home miner faces and to support decentralization of mining, something I am very passionate about.

I have a few questions:

:-: Does anyone have any recommendations or ideas about where to market/sell this product? I've looked at Kickstarter but it seems pretty weak on products related to cryptocurrency, and I've looked at OpenBazaar but don't think they have many users. I'm not sure if I am terrible at market research (likely) or if the market is so young that there aren't any good options (less likely).

:-: Does anyone know of any pools/pool owners (would love to work alongside LitecoinPool since I am already a dedicated user) who might be willing to help me reach potential users for feedback? I think this is sort of a big ask since most pools seem pretty avoidant of contacting users, but figured it couldn't hurt to seek opinions.

:-: Last, is there a better place to pose this question? Bitcointalk is a bit overwhelming if you're not sure what you're looking for--any guidance is appreciated!

Feel free to send me a DM if you'd like, or if there's a preferred means of communication (Freenode?) I am happy to move the conversation there.

Thanks!

Anyone please tell me how to payout from litecoinpool.org? And what is the minimum payout amount?

Payout conditions are explained in detail on the "Payments" page, which is easily reachable via the top menu when you are logged in.

Call 811 before you dig
so..

the correct input for your_pw,d=yourdiff   without -p  Grin

Code:
~ -p ,d=

Mine looks like this:
Code:
~ -p x,d=128 ~ clock=775

This is for one ML2 running on a junk, unpowered hub, with external power applied.

Hi

1) im having some probs to config the sharediff ! d=xxxxxxx or "d=xxxxxxx" (x = numbers) seems not working.?? only with the workerpassword it´s working fine. ?
2) im using a jaxx wallet which is binded in my acc to the private key.. now i need to change the wallet and the private key dosnt match ??

need some help pls thx Wink

For the 2nd point, lightweight wallet like jaxx is not the best choice for mining payouts. If you look around you’ll find out that lot of people had issues using it for that kind of thing

You need to use YOUR password as set up on your worker: -p your_password,d=256

I don’t know how to work out diff. Diff levels are to the power of 2.

My Moonlanders at 5 MH/s I’m using diff 1024
My L3+ at 500 MH/s I’m using diff 131072

Hope that helps

Edit: Litecoinpool standard port uses Varidiff, which if you let your miner run for a while, will pick the best diff for your miner

If your password is x, you need to type:

-p x,d=512

So that’s diff 512

Can’t help with the Jaxx wallet sorry

wow fast Cheesy thx Wink

ok. my current hashrate is for example 695mhs. that means that i need to define my diff like this   695x 256 = 177920. ok ? Wink and the passwordfield of each miner i have to type --> -p x,d=177920 ? correct ?

and jaxx is using Electrum-LTC Wink solved 4 me. thx

EDIT:\ p x,d=177920 dosnt work
