This question was address previously by Drak. The basic answer was, if the population of XCH is lowered significantly the price of XCH services can be adjusted. For example, it is 1 XCH to create a contract. This could be changed to .1 or .01.

But, I don't think this will be needed for a long time. There's a lot of XCH out there.

What is the "population" of XCH? Who will "adjust" what prices? I thought it would be a market based solution? A change from 0.1 to 0.01 is a 90% loss to XCH holders. Who can "decide" that? Is there a Clearinghouse Politbuero?

Yep, there is, it's called the network. Whatever version 51% of the network runs is what will rule the coin. So, if the devs put out a release that drops the price to create or modify an asset and the miners run it, then viola.... it is done.

That said, don't shoot the messenger. I'm probably gonna post much less here. Answering questions that have been answered time and again is probably a waste of my and most of those that follow this threads time.

I don`t get why XCH is limited in supply and why it is needed in the first place. Why not use VIA for creating assets?
If the amount of XCH is fixed at the end of september, but it will be very important in the future, isn`t there a "risk" that XCH will get very expensive, which could be counterproductive for its original purpose (it would turn more into a speculative asset itself, wouldn`t it?)?

also note that the block times (currently 24s) can potentially be further improved (reduced) in the future.

My friend told me that XCH is the same with XCP but i tell his XCH is looks like XCP and XCH is better than XCP.Am i right?

"Better" is subjective.

The main two objective differences I see.

1. Block time. Via has a new block every 24 seconds vs bitcoin's every 10 minutes. So, the market runs much faster.

2. Politics. XCP runs on the bitcoin block chain and bitcoin doesn't LIKE this, considers it spam and made changes to try to break Counterparty. While Clearinghouse runs on the Via blockchain which was designed with the idea of third party apps and welcomes this type of info on the blockchain.

I think those two things make XCH better than XCP.

Its quiet up here. Any news on XCH adding to exchanges?

You can trade XCH directly in clearwallet on the DEX. Additionally at the moment it doesnt make sense for any exchange to pick up XCH because the cheapest price will always be from the direct conversion in clearwallet. that doesnt finish until around September 25/26th (block number 251100)
sounds secure and valuable.

watching this, how many coins left in firesale

theres no cap on how much XCH can be generated during the 45-day firesale (about 2 weeks left now). After the firesale, no more XCH will be generated.

We fixed a ton of bugs today in https://clearwallet.co. There are a couple more. If you have a problem please send me a PM or drop by in the #clearwallet IRC channel on freenode https://kiwiirc.com/client/irc.freenode.net:6666/clearwallet (although we're going to bed now, shock), we'll be back to it in ~8 hours.

Where could I read the discription of an asset? For example, I dont know what PANDA in the clearhouse arket has to offer.

Thanks

Must be a test asset. Don't just buy, do research.

Here's the info:
http://xch.blockscan.com/assetInfo.aspx?q=PANDA

Compare it to Storjcoin (http://storj.io/index.html)
http://blockscan.com/assetInfo.aspx?q=SJCX

Soon you can buy real assets with XCH.

Ok, thanks for your time.
