thank you... 8years return without electric cost, I rather put my money in the bank...
I think raspberry might be the most minimal electric consumes, but not the one which has the highest rate computing power/electric consumption.
but even with higher efficiency CPU, still not worth a try for me...

thank you for your answer ^^  Grin

I understand, And feel almost the same. I just think, if/when XMG goes to the moon, out of 8 year free electric costs, could become more. the calculations where made with no price change, so it could easily become 1 year for break even (or 10 years)Grin

So I don't want to discard this option, don't forget how BTC started, and thy could use raspberries.  Wink

hello guys, I wonder if it is possible to mine xmg from an android quad core phone? I think it would be a good idea to have a version of miners available to install on android devices.
I was mining on a 8 core phone a while ago - the hash rate was so low that I stopped

I was using NeoNeon miner app, if that helps.

you guys're mining XMG right? may I ask what is the profit, or did you get any profit back from that invest?
cause I saw that CPU mining just not efficiency. don't know if til the cpu die, did it mined enough the money that you invest for hardware?
thank you!

I started mining some days ago, but at present I don't think you could get the hardware cost back soon. Even with a raspberry Pi where the power cost are minimal, the return is pretty small. 2 week mining in an pool with one Raspberry Pi 3 ~ 0,55 XMG (or less) = a year about 15 XMG or so. To get the price for the PI back it would take rough 8 year (not counting the electricity, other stuff like Internet, SD-Card, ... ), but if you have hardware at home or you don't have to pay electricity it might be worth a shot (or running in the background of your computer, with lower efficiency).

I hope this info might help a bit. btw. here is a link to a claculator https://bitcoingarden.org/forum/index.php?topic=4544.msg230586#msg230586

If there is one thing I have learned, is when an organic movement, that is not bought by big bucks starts receiving hate, the movement is on the right track.  The increase in sniping lately has me confident that I am in the right place. Go to GDAX if you want to daytrade. XMG is a long term project and one that is worth more time.  I use old cellphones and my laptop to mine, so no capital output, I have bought a bit for staking and I am satisfied.  XMG is a buy, if for no other reason that $0.30 seems like a good price point. (Not to mention a 42.5% increase. If you aren't buying now, I don't want to hear the complaining later.

You have been informed.  #XMG is the way.

I think CPU on smartphone was pushed so hard to handle the whole tasks. so there's no way we can make it run for money.
some miners didn't even got their investment back before the CPU died. and the electric cost is very high too.

Wow I surrender, "sigh"
Then we just have to wait for the whale to quench its thirst and let it breathe a little at the net Hash rate so that it stabilizes around one 50 to 60 Mh / s .... It could also be good to limit the hash rate in each pool of mine. Apart from limiting the hash rate of each user. Maybe it sounds like something against the principles of decentralization, but if it is in everyone's favor equally I think it would be good and worthwhile.

Haha, lets see - I forgot about tradingview.com, great little site - If history repeats itself, I'm sure the price will be back soon and I'll be regretting not buying more at the lower price again

I don't want to Jinx it, BUT the prediction might come true. 0.00003145 BTC (+2.21%) Go Magi Go 🚀🚀🚀

Now is a time to HODL and accumulate IMO - price is great for buyers already, and if it drops further then even more to accumulate - check the yearly charts - XMG is generally weakest at this time of year

Early April the last two years were lows followed by some nice surges =)

Always good to see new people posting on here - welcome to the community =)

Lets hope this bear market doesn't last for too long

I checked on tradingview https://www.tradingview.com/symbols/XMGBTC/, and it seems we reached the bottom. Assume XMG will slowly go up again, or at least stay in the  corridor 3000 - 4000 sat, or even breakout over 4000 sat. This would be the price before the december crypto-craziness.
Or it is at least wishful thinking.  Grin Grin Grin

Great project, I love the idea and I want to be a part of this.
I would like to know how that develops in a future with the bear market we are in, though
I will always support good projects like this.
Thank you for these words!

Are you currently planning to get the project in to Asian marketplaces as well at some point?
Yes Magi will try that!

Very best way with this? How can I deliver coins which are currently trapped in "stake" and/or avoid them through being useless while staking?
Hi,

As far as I understand, Whilst you are staking - you are effectively allowing the coins in your wallet to create another block - whilst the stake is being confirmed your coins will be blocked - the best thing to do is disable PoS minting and wait a few hours for your staking of coins to be confirmed.

If somebody found a way to release coins from staking, please correct me =)

Anyone know what's going on with Luckypool?  Any ETA for them getting back online?

Given this harsh price drop probably never again.  Cry

Yes times are probably hard for a lot of pool operators now. Costs remain the same while the reward for hosting a pool is quite low now compared to the peak.
But for well run operations it should still be quite easy to make a profit i would think Smiley
