I'm getting 134 with my 7970 on the current N.

I can set the amount of ram to whatever I like(minus whatever the cpu needs to boot) so I think it's basically the same as cpu mining since it is a CPU/GPU hybrid. I figure either way it's 100 kh free from CPU for all other mining and the price was hard to beat at $90 vs 50-60 for quad core which runs much faster then the pos semprons. Single core seems ideal for mining price wise since it does work until you have to adjust your machine(s) and then the speed becomes annoying so I have moved on from them.

I don't want to crush your pipe dream, please give it a try, but don't be surprised when you get ~10-15KH/sec on that GPU.  I have an A10-5700 which has a 7660G on-die, so I looked into this at one point.  The best GPU in the A- series chips only has 384 shaders at ~850MHz clock speed.  That's a very low number of shaders (i.e. a 7850 has 1024, and a 7950 has 1,792), and feeding the memory requirements for such a low number of shaders will be relatively easy for a long time to come.  Also, remember, that's DDR3, which doesn't have the same characteristics as the GDDR5 memory found on dedicated graphics cards.  For massively parallel operations, I believe the higher bandwidth of the GDDR5 is superior.

TL;DR - IMHO, a $150 radeon 7850 will give you 4x the performance of even the BEST A10 integrated APU (A10-6800K), also for $150.

I wanna try it...definitely worth a shot.
A friend has an A8 3870k, he could be my guinea pig hehe.

I setup a few rigs with APU's in case the increased ram would allow mining yac but haven't tried it yet. Has anyone else tried this? I can get about 80-100 kh mining scrypt with a A10-5800k and I'm considering picking up a A10-6800k to try as well. The resale on cheap gaming machines locally is great so this route has been best for me in the past(sold a few a8's last year on craigslist already).

Sounds like a nice idea...but by the time N goes too high it might be better to just cpu mine, or not? Not sure how that would work.

Guys,

I am still looking for best settings for my 5870 and 5850. Currently i use following:

yacminer -o yacp.coinmine.pl:9088 -u feeleep.1 -p x --scrypt --no-submit-stale --auto-fan --temp-target 70 -s 5 --expiry 5 --gpu-engine 785 800 --gpu-memclock 1050 1000 -I 15 16 -w 64 --lookup-gap 2 --thread-concurrency 8000 -g 1

and on both cards I've got almost the same:

 GPU 0:  65.0C 2449RPM | 130.7K/128.4Kh/s
 GPU 1:  67.5C 2602RPM | 129.4K/129.0Kh/s

additionally when i increase engine clock on 5870 hashrate drops...

any advise?

These are my settings to my 5850 and I get 160+ Kh/s

"intensity" : "18",
"thread-concurrency" : "11520",
"vectors" : "4",
"worksize" : "64",
"lookup-gap" : "2",
"shaders" : "1440",
"gpu-engine" : "750-944",
"gpu-memclock" : "1200",

What is your hashrate now after the N changed?

About 83Kh/s but I had to downclock a little to 930 and 1150 because the GPU wasn't stable.

Increase TC and it should work again without HW errors.
I moved from 21000 to 24000 on my 7870LE and all is well. 105khash.

Yeah, that should work, but can't get over 18368 cause of my system memory being 2gb.
Gotta wait till the new 2x2gb sticks get here. (ordered two ddr2 sticks fdrom China)

Thanks for the input! I miss mining YAC Sad

I haven't tried mining yac after n change...I'm mining CRC now, but might give it a shot with my 7970 again.
I wanna get PoS blocks Cheesy

20 khash/sec (had 75 on intensity 18 before N change).

Are you getting a decent hashrate at 10?

My 5770 is mining fine on intensity 10 and 11, above that i get hw errors too.

may need to increase concurrency for the larger RAM size

N changed. My hash rate halved of course. 210 down to 105 on my 7870LE. Like last time I am getting hw errors. Any1 else? Seems like an update is due.
Yep same
