It seems that HiroS is busy again. I plan on performing the hardfork once again so that we can solve the coin inflation issue.

This is the github from the updated source. The hardfork is planned at block 266,500. In order for it to be successful the new client must find block 266,501. I have arranged to have a large amount of hashrate pointed at the new client to prevent the upgrade issue we had last time.

To completely avoid this I ask that all pools still mining Hirocoin update to the newest client.

https://github.com/OmarxGx/Hirocoin

We should be on schedule to hardfork tomorrow afternoon. Once this update is in place I'll be working on a new Hirocoin website along with block explorer. I have another developer who should almost be finished with the new wallet GUI and will provide screenshots of the design when they are available to me.

You may also point your miners to stratum+tcp://hiropool.org:4008 to mine HIRO directly and be ready for the dynamic reward. Please register at http://hiropool.org/hiro first.

I have a lot of Hirocoins in my local wallet long term since month and didn't use and not even startet the wallet client. What should I do, how to update to the new client to not loose a coin?

I have contacted Poloniex to update their client to resolve the freezing market issue. I will update this post to confirm that they will be ready for the hard fork tomorrow.

I have managed to recreate the issue in a test environment. With this kind of change the client assumes that the rest of the network is on a newer version and perhaps an upgrade is required. I need to change this so that it treats this as a hard fork and marks the old blockchain as misbehaving and drops them from its list of connected peers. Then we can do this again.

Has this issue been addressed? The Hiro market continues to freeze on Poloniex, and when I asked them why this continues to happen, they are saying the issue is something that needs to be fixed by Hirocoin. Mintpal seems to be trading hiro still (well, dumping, but I digress) so not sure what's going on here.

Mintpal v2 is removing HIRO (at last) and gives way to better coins

Coin is frozen on Poloniex.  Not sure why.

Edit:  Also appears to be delisted from Bittrex.   Still on Mintpal for 9 Satoshi.

You can trade Hirocoin  on Cryptoine exchange: https://cryptoine.com/trade/hiro_btc
Why not listed on announcing post?

Cuz no one looks at it any more ... wish mintpal de-listed this coin and listed something more useful like QTL for example

He's still around. He posted at the top of this page actually.

Any news Hiro? I'm stll holding, even went and doubled my coin supply with the low price we have right now.

Well, the coin just attempted a fork then Dev goes MIA. Not sure I would keep it listed either.

what does MIA mean?

missing in action, ie, he's done a runner

maybe he is on vacation, its summer.

an update... had fixed my problem... my wallet is updated now...

i'll share my workaround:

I deleted the content of the folder (%appdata%\hirocoin) then re-installed again the wallet (v.0.8.6.4) and pasted my wallet back-up... problem was solved!

Thanks, my issue had to do with the wallet update.
