Thank you! Think this guy deserves some sort of donation...

Donations are allways wellcome, but you can send them *after* you see the fix works. I would feel embarrassed if something goes wrong Undecided

And, if you are a coder, please review it. We can make this safer together.

I dont have much, but maybe others will do same. Will send some btc to you to the value of a sync coin, cheers.

I am still mining at the Sync multipool. I see that many people have now jumped back on!

You guys missed out on a fat payment while SYNC was cheap Smiley I got 0.35811225 SYNC paid last. Have 15 gpus on it.

My SYNC balance went up 0.7 this week from mining and staking.

http://sync.multipoolmining.com/

yeah so there might be some fees attached, but it helps with buy pressure in big chunks.

BTW mscollec you should tweet the new wallet update!

I personally have not had any staking or syncing problems for the last week at all.

I'm not sure about compiling for Windows, but I know that in Linux you have to re-run "configure" before you do a "make clean" and "make" in order to get the version number to reflect. The program will compile fine without reconfiguring, but the version number doesn't make it.

BTW, I am extremely happy that I was wrong about the snark earlier. Much gratitude from me, MsCollec.

I waited patiently with faith. I expected next week but it came earlier. This is good news!

Thanks Nite69, I DID notice (because I do read all posts), that you were one of the developers. I think you only posted once or twice in the early stages but I did notice. Thanks for your efforts.

Thanks MsCollec, for not completely losing your cool and sticking with this community with many weird and wonderful personalities. I see you decided to grow a thicker skin and that is good to see. I encourage your to keep up your passion for something cool which you created and not give up no matter what!

Thanks rfcdejong for your contributions with your coding skills

Thanks everyone else for sticking around and contributing as well. Let's try to stay positive and constructive from now.

We welcome anyone with open arms back to the Synclub  Cool

Yes. Take a bow and thank all the little people that made this possible.  Fame and fortune awaits.

BREAKING NEWS!

There are going to be problems if we are asking people to compile their own wallets. Its good if you know how but I'm betting a lot of people don't just based on the number of people who couldn't get their wallet working.

Ok, maybe i overreacted, i will get the wallet compiled ASAP Tongue and start working on anonymity Kiss

daemon under linux shows the correct version:

Thankyou. Is the issue the windows version?

seems like it, the way MsCollec builds it the version-ing isn't done.

But as long as it's 24,376,832 bytes there's no need to worry

Can you/someone recompile it properly, then this little niggle has gone away. Most people are on Windows.

DEV of DeepOnion community pool
Multipool miners have been paid out about an hour ago!!

Join The Official SYNC multi-pool
we need more hash, since we would like to add LitecoinX (LTCX) as a coin to mine as well (its very profitible but diff is too high for our multipool right now!)

All you need to mine SYNC is a VALID SYNC wallet address!

You can join our site now at http://multipoolmining.com or when you are already familiar with multipoolmining you can go straight to the SYNC pages at http://sync.multipoolmining.com

Some important figures:
  • Mining with just your SYNC wallet address.
  • Mining at low diff.
  • Push SYNC prices higher on exchanges.
  • Mine always the most profitable coin around.
  • Global Stats.
  • Personal miner stats.
  • Payments straight to your SYNC wallet.

Multipoolmining.com gives you
  • Solid cloud based servers on fast SSD discs.
  • DDOS protection on website AND stratum servers (Layer 3, 4, and 7 Protection).
  • Experienced devs.
  • High tech node.js platform.
  • IRC support channel: #multipoolmining
  • Payouts at least every 48 hours, interval is relative long, but only to give the best trades for you!
  • 2% fee, to cover trade & server costs.

Hope to see you around soon at http://multipoolmining.com

Your official SYNC Multi-pool DEV team,

X11: stratum+tcp://stratum.multipoolmining.com:5555
Scrypt:  stratum+tcp://stratum.multipoolmining.com:4444

We now have a support forum as well:
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/ann-multipoolminingcom-x11-scrypt-payout-in-pawn-xlb-sync-only-632631
Please leave your questions (and compliments! Roll Eyes) here. We might miss them in this crowdy topic

Happy SYNC mining!

The download link is not to the updated wallet.

I still get version v.1.0.0.0

It's updated

Help | About Sync shows 1.0.0.0

indeed i see the same in my windows wallet, v1.0.0.0
going to dive into it why that is as nite69 changed the clientversion.h

how did you compile it MsCollec ? Compiled in linux on msx ?

the label in the about dialog is called "versionLabel" which is set in the code-behind

https://github.com/MsCollec/sync/blob/master/src/qt/aboutdialog.cpp
Code:
void AboutDialog::setModel(ClientModel *model)
{
    if(model)
    {
        ui->versionLabel->setText(model->formatFullVersion());
    }
}

being called from, but that doesn't matter

https://github.com/MsCollec/sync/blob/3e9aaf65160c7b300e7f3efdafdbf42721ba6d4d/src/qt/bitcoingui.cpp

Code:
void BitcoinGUI::aboutClicked()
{
    AboutDialog dlg;
    dlg.setModel(clientModel);
    dlg.exec();
}

the function for the version is formatFullVersion from util.cpp, line 1269

https://github.com/MsCollec/sync/blob/3e9aaf65160c7b300e7f3efdafdbf42721ba6d4d/src/util.cpp

Code:
string FormatFullVersion()
{
    return CLIENT_BUILD;
}

which is a const in c++ file

https://github.com/MsCollec/sync/blob/3e9aaf65160c7b300e7f3efdafdbf42721ba6d4d/src/version.cpp

and in the header here

https://github.com/MsCollec/sync/blob/0c44e567e511d1ab2989134554484a70e0217d5a/src/version.h

it seems it can be passed in when compiling with make, but i don't have time to experiement, someone else must know already! Smiley

So it must be the way MsCollect compiles it.
Maybe someone should look into Gitian build, anyone with experience?
