Glad you got it going. The dev might not be around but I am. I will be maintaining the project. I'm working on the Chinese translation. I stayed up all night last night, today's my birthday actually. I just need to get my dev tools into my new Windows VM and I'm gonna try to compile the Chinese translation..

What I did was translate strings to Chinese, then back to English and see if it still made sense. Some things I changed to try to make it easier to understand because after translation it didn't make any sense at all. Freakin google translate. Anyway, hopefully I'll have a test build up today.

So what's the story with the dev of this coin? He takes all the trouble of launching it premines a bunc, abandons it and then expects others to make it popular?

Still can't sync my birdcoin wallet, maybe there aint much to sync too? If a few people leave their wallets running for a few days it might give newcomers a point to sync to. Also some fresh nodes would be helpfull.

I've got all those birds but without a working wallet no way to send them out somewhere.

All that stuff is fixed now, and everyone is credited.

Yeah, I've decided that was a lost cause so I'm working on it myself. Cleaned a few things up and I'm going to try to at least have a Chinese translated Beta version out in a few hours!

There's some stuff I'm going to try with the transaction handling to see if I can make the server run a little better.

Birdcoin Dev, I need you.

Gotta have a look at the wallet, how it handles large transactions. I know the windows wallet doesn't handle large transactions well, randomly failing, I think this is the root of the problem with the pool, people cashing out with big transactions, the wallet is freezing up, processing them, but not returning TXID's and fooling my payout system. It may not even be a bug in the code but just an overload of the wallet's transaction capabilities, but someone who knows what they're doing with it needs to have a look at the code. I'm just not that good with C.

Set up a chinese language site, translated the best I can.. I'm going to start working on the source code tonight!!

What's going on, everyone's gone from the pool. It was hopping last night!

I can try to contact him, but I don't know if he's going to come back or not. I have lots of projects I am working on but maybe I can find Chinese source code for another wallet and use that for a guide, and you can give me the Chinese text you want to put in, and Chinese text for the website, I can probably get it done. Can you contact the developer? We need website! Need a new wallet Chinese language! We support the bird coins, but not to force the developer. We want to donate 200 million to the developer, if he can come back.

Everything's back to normal, our messed up balance is fixed, and hopefully our fast block find rate won't screw up the DB anymore. I'll be keeping a watch on it. When we build up some more coin, I'll kick everyone some extra for the blocks that got wiped (5 I think). Thanks for your patience, everyone! It's 6AM and I've been up all night, so I'll see yall tomorrow!

Thanks, we are almost caught up now thanks to people donating! We may still have problems in the future, since we find blocks too fast! I'm working on getting a fix for that but I am not sure if it's gonna help. If we have the same kinds of problems in the future, I'm sorry, but we'll just have to deal with it as it comes. I really hated having to wipe out those bad blocks, some people didn't get some credit, but it wasn't very much. Once we build up a healthy fee buffer, I'm going to give all active users bonuses, instead of doing the weekly giveaway.

How much birdcoin to solve this problem?

Quick update. My pool is constantly on the verge of meltdown. I had to wipe off some blocks, basically mark them as accounted when they werent, but some got double paid out. There may have been a better way to do it, but it wasn't readily apparent and was only able to get payouts and the crons running again after trial and error. The root of the problem is that we are simply just finding blocks too fast, and some are getting written in the DB erroneously as a result, and causing huge trouble. For now, things are back in action and I'm furiously researching ways to compensate for us finding blocks so fast.

Thanks for being patient, everyone. Once we're out of the woods I'm going to find a way to give each miner a little something extra if possible!

If someone would be kind enough to translate for our Chinese friends and let them know we've been having trouble, but I'm on top of it, I'd be very thankful.
