The fork at 700000 went smooth so far.
Some non up to date nodes ended up stuck, They just will have to update to get synced again.
Thanks to the cooperation of all the pools and main actors, the 3 main pools are on the right ledger, so is Cryptopia and - needless to say - the official explorer and wallet servers.
Good work everyone!

Very Important info for node operators, regarding upcoming fork at 700000 :

https://github.com/EggPool/BismuthHowto/blob/master/UnderTheHood/HF_700K.md

Too many nodes still using mainnet0016 , Please check the how to above and update asap, only a few hours left.

After deleting the folder and reinstall to the latest version is says "version=mainnet0016" in my config file. if i understand it right everyone need to manually edit that file to xxxxx0017?

If you want to be safe, yes.
We know it comes late, and it's fully our fault, but its that protocol version number that will allow to filter up to date nodes from others if the fork goes south.

If you only use the wallet, connected to an online server, then don"t bother: you have no local chain, nothing to fork.

node.exe crashes 20 seconds after start
latest release, win7 x64
never this was before
thanks

Please hover to the discord
https://discord.gg/5Kn3zD4

set debug_level to "INFO" instead of "WARNING" in config.txt,
console_output to "True"
delete mempool.db if it exists
restart and tell us more if it crashes again (on the discord)

Bismuth Mandatory Update to 4.2.5.1? Does the backup require any different procedure than it did before 3 months ago? I was out for a few weeks and I lost some things here.

If you have a backup of your "publickey.der" and "privkey.der" you are safe. The new wallet will convert those files into "wallet.der" (this is a compact version of the 2 files) where your wallet keys are stored, is like the "wallet.dat" of other coins. After you install the new wallet, you can backup the new "wallet.der" file, in wallet. Click "Wallet" -> "Backup wallet".

Last few days there is a reduced reward I get from the bis-pool.net??!!

difficulty has jumped  more mining

I think
Not sure.
Difficulty is 111-112 last xx days..

Yea this sha algo is a bit different, in that a 1 unit increase from 111 to 112 is about twice as difficult. It isn't like ethereum which is more linear in how the numbers represent difficulty.

I think alot of concerns around asics for equihash and ethash are turning people to mining coins like bismuth.

This is because the mining diff increased to 112, which is twice as hard than 111.

Is there any framework or SDK which will be built (with roadmap of release) for developers? For any developer that wants to build dApps on bismuth via python.
