CG1 is due to go offline until needed
mining has stopped waiting on blocks to mature and payouts to process ~8hrs

Just a quick update.
It's never got cold enough yet to make me consider putting the miners (my central heating!) on at all.
It's been a record-breaking November, with temps some 7 - 8 C above average. Damp & blustery yes, but mild.
...and no sign of winter on the horizon so far

This is a general question I think /
Not specific to Blake Coin but all alt coins.
There are many reasons including special cases that appear obvious to me.
Some things appear more random.
Suggest you start thread in general alt coin discussion..

I can't explain why many crypto currencies move together with BTC, and some don't, has anyone analyzed this?

so expect some outage today and server being unavailable for short periods (probs due to them overloading resources between old host and new host)
will update when they give me more info

Provider has informed me that there will be a scheduled migration of the server that hosts blakecoin.org between 26th-27th
also next month I might shelf cg1 for awhile until there is more demand

The spirit is fine but the old bod is falling apart - On top of T-II diabetes my knees are shot with arthritis so my 'working life' is pretty much over. Even had to sell the VTR 'coz it was too painful to ride her anymore. 4 wheels for me from now on

Well, the colder nights have arrived here in Rhegged, so I find my thoughts turning to re-starting my miner for the first time in 7 months.
Have there been any major changes I need to be aware of, or will my 'old' .conf be fine as it is?
I'm kinda up to my neck in matters Elite: Dangerous, having been made both a moderator of the 'Order of Mobius' forum & a flight leader for one of our wings, in addition to my many hours in the cockpit. Only reason I even have the time to post this missive is, the game server is down for a major upgrade atm.
(So the delay in 'BlakeZone' isn't too onerous to bear
)

LA1 has some Provider issues "We are experiencing a connectivity issue in our Los Angeles datacenter. "
