Hey dzimbeck, that's great feedback! You should join Rocket Chat, Dan(atcsecure) would love to talk to you. Here is the chat link: https://rocket.blocknet.co:8443/home

Hey there so you should probably let atcsecure know that there is a way to do anonymous cross chain trading that I've discovered. It would be beneficial to explore this as an upgrade:

Basically what you do is allow a p2sh to refer to another p2sh address but limit it to one level deep(to prevent exhausting the nodes). The problem with p2sh in Bitcoin is they don't allow short hand reference to other p2sh addresses. This is particularly frustrating when you need to pay someone but can't because you don't know their script. Oddly, you can pay p2pkh in a script.

So how this benefits AT is to overcome a big problem in anonymity. You see, it's possible to follow every single trade by looking at the hash that is published to both blockchains and. However the way anonymous AT would work is just have the payout go to p2sh1 OR p2sh2

The first one is privately disclosed to the recipient so he knows he can spend it contingent on the other chain (this is the shared hash between both chains typical to AT)

The second p2sh is also disclosed and it contains a completely different hash (this is the anon part)

So when the first transaction publishes with the shared hash, instead of immediately spending it the user waits to receive the solution to the other hash puzzle sent privately. He knows he can publish the shared one at any time but would rather wait for other disassociated hash to protect his anonymity. Because it's p2sh, nobody would know the contents until the redeem script is published anyways protecting the anonymity.  Thus there is now a way to make to completely unrelated transactions across chains.

If he likes the idea be sure to give a shout out. I might add it to a paper at some point with some of the other crypto concepts I've come up with but have no time to work on said features or concepts since I'm already pretty busy.

Cheers and hope all is well with your dev schedule.

Blocknet is self funded via the nodes: https://medium.com/@theblocknetchannel/the-blocknet-governance-community-voting-system-has-launched-3e6cb613bc68

The team can be viewed here under the project tab: https://blocknetprotocol.com/dashboard
Also, a new website is coming soon.

Thank you for reply.

When that exchange may come to life? I just see more than 5 DEX, cannot say if all are usable, even I am big supporter of that idea. Also interesting if there is anything about team and money? ICO was long time ago. How many money left to realize plans? Is anybody looking that? Smiley Sorry for such questions Smiley

I hope this increase lasts a long time, but what if the future is actually declining? not everyone can predict what will happen in the future, which must continue to increase.
true, no one can predict how it will be and guarantee but we can judge according to the development
depending on how the team working for better progress, so hoping this project continue to increase

It went impressive up today which is still nothing as very limited supply of coins will play vital role always. Blocknet is going to on front position to lead this whole decentralized exchanges in future because this is ultimate solution for cryptocurrencies to survive and grow independently.

The Blocknet decentralized exchange is only the first app built on the Blocknet Protocol.

The Blocknet is designed as infrastructure for the emerging token ecosystem. Any service or orchestrated sequence of microservices provided by dapps may be delivered over the Blocknet's infrastructure.

Using decentralized exchange, these services are intrinsically monetizable, removing the friction and high costs of traditional payment networks - friction which has prevented the monetisation of the bulk of the API ecosystem.

Due to the decentralized exchange, consumers of a service may pay in their native token even if the service consumes a different token.

...Because of that three years ago I've sold the BLOCK I had.
...

Well that explains it all.
Just move on to some other coin, there are plenty of good ones. And don't forget next time: HODL! Wink

Is an Exchange a main target of project? Or there are any other business projects/plans? Any timeframe for that? How big team is working on project - anything to read about team and business plans?

I really love the concept of this project. The project has a strong team for technical support and highly experienced  too. It will do well during the ico and do very well in the market when being traded.

Nice shitpost, I'm very proud of you! Smiley Did you even read the slightest about Blocknet?

ICO was done a long time ago and it's being traded on Upbit,Bittrex and cryptobridge...

Blocknet slack channel is one of the most active of all i know. Imagine if all that messages would be posted here in Bitcointalk, will be great mess.

Well, is it a Slack channel or Telegram? Why is there no mess here for other coins, and only BLOCK has a problem with this forum?

Just waiting for lightweight wallet, because to keep a lot of different blockchains synchronized on single PC is very unconveniet.

I've being following BLOCK from 2014, way before the ICO, and was intrigued by the potential. This is 4th year I've being listening to "we just need this or that and everything will be working". Somewhere in the beginning of 2015 legitimate questions have been started to be deleted from this thread, and all new users aggressively suggested to use other communication channels which can be more easily controlled by the people who try to hide the incompetence of the dev team. Because of that three years ago I've sold the BLOCK I had. Since then price of BLOCK has been pumped and dumped several times, and the working product usable by everyone still hasn't been released. Do you think it's normal that dev team heavily founded from the ICO is not able to produce a working software in 4th year of it's development?

See you in a few years just to check if I was wrong and they finally produce something. I wish this will be a case, good luck to everyone still holding this coin after all these years.

At that time it was 10 cents? pump and dump several times?

its now over $45 ++

Maybe you are just sour you didn't buy and hold back then.

Come back in 3 months.

Nobody holds an altcoin for 4 years, only BTC, and BLOCK was dumped to a fraction of ICO price in BTC at least four times since then. It will happen again, so see you not in 3 months but in 3 years.

how would I currently trade with the Blocknet? In centralized exchange I send the funds to their wallets, this wont be the case with block.

Trades are done with a shared hash in a checklocktimeverify account. It's done in two transactions on each chain. First to the account with asynchronous timelocks then withdrawn from those with the person with the shorter locktime to act first. He holds the secret to the hash puzzle and when it's published it allows the person on the other chain to move his funds as well.

It's the only decentralized exchange method. Other coins that don't do it this way are simply not doing decentralized exchange.

Funds are traded directly between you and the counter-party. Funds are not deposited on an exchange at all.
Atomic swaps are decentralized.

We need a professional and trustsless DEX where we as users control our cryptocoins! I hope Blocknet will be one of the best DEX in 2018 especially after the UI update and light wallet version of the DEX!

The centralized exchanges can only harm us users, especially when they can be easily hacked (looking at Coincheck lost off 500 million dollars) and controlled by the governments..

Yes, now it is basically everywhere mandatory to verify your identity before doing whatever in those centralized exchanges - and it will only get worse. So welcome the decentralized ones. Let's hope Blocknet will deliver finally.
