Who hosts the giveaways usually?  Maybe they should be for like 0.5 cach each?

Last one, the exchange hosted it

This should help you:

http://explorer.cachecoin.org/chain/Cachecoin/q/totalcoins

its the api from the explorer - if you need something else, let me know

It's not mine, I just want to see it there.

For the request a total supply URL (and an exchange) is required. Just the plain number or a json string as http-response.

Do we have a total supply URL? I'd like to try to add CACHe to coinmarketcap...

What do you need - stats.cachecoin.org/charts shows information

is coinmarketcap your homepage, then pm me and I can provide you with an api for it

So what offers this coin?

What exactly do you want to know - most of the information is in the OP or can be found in the posts before ...

Update:

Just reworked some of the highcharts and included price chart from polinex:
http://stats.cachecoin.org/charts#chart_marketprices

Edit:
http://explorer.cachecoin.org now also shows Type of block next to reward
Been fixing some bugs in the explorer code - will need to rewrite some code to speed address loading up and offer records for address that have more than 10k transactions...

Hi Dev, why don't you release source code for the normal pool, there only 1 pool out there.

The sourcecode for p2pool can be found here : https://github.com/Sykh/p2pool-cache

It is easy to setup other nodes to support decentralisation :-)

Which Pool? Cach.catcoin.cz? That's based on an open source pool. You'll have to contact the pool owner for more info.

test cryptocoin please ignore
So why so many confirmations for mined blocks?  This seems a bit too long.

To limit the amount of people mining and dumping
Yet it is too much, 520! it looks like a free job rather than mining And miners almost no .. what kind of game? Wink
It forces miners to wait for their CACHe to be credited to their wallet. Without this mechanism, miners would be able to mine and dump insane amounts of CACHe on an hourly basis.

"official" cachcoin p2pool is up - 1% fee
http://p2pool.cachecoin.org:8336/static/

to mine, point your miners to p2pool.cachecoin.org:8336 with your wallet address as username and any password. Payouts will be made to that address on every block

I rewrote the OP for the topic. If anyone has any other suggestions, please let me know so we can get them added.  I tried to make it as concise as possible while allowing beginning miners to jump in to mining CACH.

Thanks a lot :-) very nice and helpful

For POS, do I have to keep the wallet unlocked all the time(I mean without encrypting)?

Also on an average, if  I have 10 coins and if I keep the wallet running for 7 days, how much would I earn as POS?

Yes, the walled needs to be running and unlocked.

Upper bound that can be reached under ideal conditions is 5% interest per year, so with 10 coins and 7 days, expect at most 0.01 coins gained via POS.

But in reality, due to POS having its own difficulty and the coins moving, etc ... it is usually less than 5% (In my personal wallet with relatively low coin circulation I got about 0.15% "interest" via PoS per month, equaling to about 1.8% interest per year. YMMV.)

Yes, you need to keep the wallet unlocked in order to participate in POS.

Kalgecin, will have to let you know about the amount of POS you would receive.  Not sure on that.
