What do you think about the reasons there are only about half shares voting petition? I think substantional part of the non voters dont know about the voting feature. What about making announcement on the front page of JD about the voting + maybe doing it a bit simpler (checkboxes) + better description of petitions (mostly the one line gives so little info)

That clamour stuff was just a scam to shut up the people who wanted end digging?
When need 90% of votes to make any changes that clamour stuff has really no meaning.
Is hard enough get over 50% to care, but over 90% of votes they get only in North Korea and places like that.

I have purposely not been pushing CLAMour yet, as we don't have a user-friendly client compiled and ready to go for less-technical users.

It was announced as a post in the thread because it doesn't require an update, and I wanted some limited usage to identify any major problems.

In the end, it would be preferable that there is a user-friendly method to self-verify results and place support in the client.

The UI for placing support is essentially complete (thanks kefkius) and the self-verify portion is underway, though bogged down in an update to fix -reindex (to my understanding).

Once everything is in line so that ALL users can participate in a user-friendly manner; it will be pushed out on the webpage (which is going to get another drastic makeover), social, etc.

Looking forward to it! Keep up the great work guys Smiley

    Where did you get the 90% number from?  I was under the impression it was 50.1%.  + one programmer to make the changes.

I already have too much power around CLAM. JD stakes the majority of the CLAMs, I contribute to the CLAM client code, I post here a lot.

I think somebody else should make a site about the petitions, and how to support petitions, and explain some of the more popular petitions. It can include instructions for voting on Just-Dice, and I can improve the interface on Just-Dice too. I don't like the idea of checkboxes, because it means I either have to manually decide which petitions to include checkboxes for (which is a chore I'd rather not take on), or have it automatically list them all, including "dog humping its own mouth" (which would obviously be abused).

I would happily link to such a site from Just-Dice. I don't want to leave myself open to accusations of pushing through my own agenda, and so would rather somebody else took on the job of raising awareness of the CLAMour system.

Do a rescan and your CLAM should show up Smiley

how should I proceed ?

As Creative says, run the clam client with the -rescan command line argument.

How did you import your wallet? I wonder why it didn't rescan automatically for you. It should do.

Which version of the client did you use?

Thanks guys, that did the trick  Wink

Maybe it would be better to actually fix the syncing in the client?

It would be, for sure.

Hey dooglus, just wanted to thank you for your clam post on bootstrapping the blockchain.  This thing was running for over a day and a half and barely a quarter of the way through until somebody on polo suggested checking for a bootstrap.  Not sure why I didn't think to look for it myself but now it's looking like my blockchain will definitely up to date within my lifetime Smiley

thanks again

You're welcome.

Here's a link to the post.

I just updated it again, and do so about once a week if I remember.

Happy new year CLAM addicted ladies.

I'm here again just to tell you CLAM holders that your coins will have a shitty value within two months, to the 0.0006-0.0007 range. You can take my advise or you can lose your panties, I don't really care cause I'm gonna win big in here.

Just to tell you how we control this shit: That stupid 150 BTC buy wall was from us, and the sell order of +40,000 CLAMS was us too.

Last advice, small fishes get away from this shit, this is our game and you'll be burned if you try to play, specially if you go long.

It's not our choice, but simply it's not fair that this shitcoin has a value of +2.5 M$...

Have a nice year. Wink

Oh hai!

I'm the one who called you out last time, remember? You were full of shit back then, and the shit seems to be still very much up to the brim Smiley

By the way, what happened to your previous claim that CLAM will never rise above 250K again? Or was it 350K?

You're so bad at this, I would hide in a corner and never show up again.

validateaddress gave "isvalid" : false which means the import didn't work.

No, that probably means you are typing a BTC address when you should be typing a CLAM address.

The /dig command on JD will tell you the CLAM address for any given BTC address. That's the one you need to check with validateaddress in the CLAM client:

I type /dig then my address and see:

    11:50:01 INFO: CLAM address [x9KpGgpB] corresponding to BTC address [122BNoyh] was funded with 4.60545574 CLAM ...

Oh, thanks for clarifying that!

I just checked the address and got:
{
"isvalid" : true,
"address" : "xK1R1oCv5e4bbNiRdLNKpRgEN2yC4u2N6B",
"ismine" : true,
"isscript" : false,
"pubkey" : "044d23454e031ccd552ebc70cf7e65e71c0f0ab8d19d46187c1ec1039c11583928e90548903874a 5a8697bcf489562b4e762d243f84801ec879349d1c2bf443591",
"iscompressed" : false,

I click the [x9...] link and it shows me the full address. I use that full address with 'validateaddress' and see:

  "isvalid" : true,
  "ismine" : false

ie. it isn't imported into my current CLAM wallet, but is a valid CLAM address.

I'm trying to import a bitcoin qt wallet.dat that suppose to have clams in multiple addresses but Clam wallet still shows 0 balance.

The wallet is fully synced.

What's wrong ?

edit: just to clarify things up, I have created a new wallet in bitcoin core and then imported the private keys that have clams in them, then imported the wallet.dat to the clam client.

One of:

1. the keys don't really have CLAMs in them; are you sure they do? can you give an example address?
2. the import didn't work; can you try 'validateaddress' in the CLAM debug console for the corresponding CLAM address and check 'ismine':true?
3. the blockchain isn't really synced; check 'getblockcount' in the CLAM debug console

For step 2, '/dig
' in the Just-Dice trollbox will tell you the corresponding CLAM address.

Maybe there's a 4th thing that may have gone wrong, but I can't think of it.

Checked the addresses on http://clam.makejar.com and just dice, both show I have the clam.

validateaddress gave "isvalid" : false which means the import didn't work.
