Yeah, the cryptsy news sucks.

It looks like it's listed on Coins-e so it's not totally dead in the market.

Just sucks to see it removed. There's a lot more useless coins on there. This one has a real use unlike most of the copies which are hype pump and dumps

I'm not worried about that too much.  All the others I dumped, but I think that craftcoin, if it is developed properly and becomes popular as a currency in minecraft, then it will be a very successful coin.

Owww, cryptsy.com shows this message for craftcoin: "Due to inactive developers and low hashrates, this coin will be delisted from the market on Oct 1st, 2013. Wallets will remain open indefinately."

Ok, Here should be the Fix.  I don't know if this has been fixed yet, but what do you think of this:

I got this idea elsewhere in the forum, I don't remember where:

Assumption 1:  The coin should retarget difficultly normally how often?  Say every 24 hours.

Fix:  If the difficultly had not re-targeted in 4x the expected time(in this case, 4 Days) then change difficulty (even for current block)

A modification to this would be if the Coin has a High difficulty and 1/4 of the blocks have not been solved in the expected retarget time, then change difficulty.

I just saw why it's like that. CRC mining pool was just me, then the diff readjusted to around 1 and about 18 people jumped in. About 3-4 of them are hasing at 4-7MHs each. No wonder it bounces. Heavy hitters jumping in and then killing the diff and bouncing on the coin till the low guys work it back down.

Hopefully the larger diff adjustment will smooth it out.

Also I have looked at options, and the solution you have submitted seems to be the best fix. The longer I observe the coin, the more I am convinced that the changes you proposed are the perfect fit. There could be an update in the next couple days.

Cool.  It would be really interesting to see how the system works in practice.  It is fair to miners, but gives a lower variance in time between blocks.

Don't forget you need to change the COINFIX1_BLOCK value.  It has to be in the future, so 10000 will not work anymore.

How is the diff going up when there is only 4-5 MHs on this coin?

The diff changes every 12 blocks (1 hour on average).

When it drops, it gets hammered by a coin switching pool.  This pushes the difficulty back up.  New blocks can happen every few seconds.

Once the difficulty rises, those pools switch away.

At Block 15000, the system changes slightly.

Currently, it just uses the last 12 blocks to do the retarget.  After block 15000, it will use the last 72 blocks (so 6 hours), but will still re-target every 12 blocks.  That should smooth things out more.

other coins in this hash range are .2-.3

The diff is now 2.3

This is a real killer to the coin.

http://crc.scryptmining.com hasn't found a block in a while. Are there any other pools with more than one person in it?

I've got about 100 crc and am getting ready to send them over to the Minecraft server.

Does Spendlitecoins receive from cryptsy without issue or do I need to download a wallet and make it the middle man?

Spendlitecoins can accept deposits from any source

downloading the craftcoinish jar and dumping it in the plugins folder, seems to cause the server to hang and not load. Gets stuck at 83% chain download.

Hey, sorry I missed this question...

The craftcoinish plugin has not been updated since pre-fork. It does not work correctly. Unfortunately I have no control over that project, and cannot attempt to correct the issue.

That being said, most server ops are using an economy like this one http://dev.bukkit.org/bukkit-plugins/boseconomy/ it is quite simple to configure that plugin to use CRC on your server using the config file. Look at smp1.spendlitecoins.com for an example of a successful minecraft economy using CRC.

Hope this helps

quite a few ppl on the Spend light coin server during the day i would imagion there are 20-25 active users and that the combine CRC for all of them would be close to 2000 CRC but to be fair that is only 1/50th of the total CRC out there but i don't think this is the only server

I doubt anyone really use this coin in any connection with minecraft  Grin

So it seems like it's sits on blocks for hours at a time. Was the coin hit by a coin jumping pool? How soon till a retarget?

re target should be quick... the coin was top profitability for about an hour and it doubled our diff
