The block reward of 10 is never halved, is that correct?

Yes, the block reward will always be 10 CRC + fees.

Is there a stats page somewhere?

Stats page? You're going to need to be a bit more specific.

But I hope the developers take server security very seriously.
As pointed out on Cryptsy chat by another developer, you don't want an angry mob of scammed Minecraft players.

Server security will largely be up to the server admins. The plugin should have complete security against regular players in-game attempting to exploit the system, but you can only make a bukkit plugin so secure. If the admins don't take the appropriate measures to make sure the server itself is secure there's nothing we can do about that.

I can't stress this enough: Only trust a server with your coins as much as you trust the skills/honor of the admin. The same precautions you should have with every other online exchange or wallet.

Turns out, the 0.0023 was closer (it is the current offer at cryptsy after just 1-2 days)

that's not an indicator (yet), if someone bought 100 at this price, that would set it. the volume is so low, almost anyone could change the current price at the moment.

That's only people who bought it, imagine the even larger group of people who got it from "other sources".

If this coin gets more and more accepted by the MineCraft community, it could end up in the 0.0x.
The potential is huge and it could even be adopted in more games, if this works out.

I like the concept of this coin, bought 6K and hold, with strong hands.
It's very hard to lay your hands on 6K of CRC now with the low volume at Cryptsy, so I am lucky I bought from a trusted member (thanks!) before it got on Cryptsy.

But I hope the developers take server security very seriously.

so, for the love of minecraft...

WTB 1k (or whatever you're willing to sell) CRC for BTC. offer pls

I can do 1k CRC. With the low block reward and the relatively long block time it has taken me some time to mine that substantial an amount of CRC, so I'd ask 0,0023 BTC per CRC.

expected such an offer to be honest.

let's talk about 0.00023 shall we?

I'd like to see the P2Pool get some better hashrates.

Craftcoin P2Pool is working great! About the best results of any altcoin. DOAs very low. Couple new nodes online.

wow, so launch now but dif 0.36. really high Sad pre more 6k block!!!!

When I started mining for fun, 11 hours ago, diff was 0.031 Grin
Mined 53 blocks untill diff shot up, now back at PhenixCoin solo.

http://crc.cryptocoinexplorer.com/

http://forums.spout.org/threads/introducing-craftcoin.7688/

I think this coin could be a surprise at Cryptsy.

The network hash rate displayed by some pools is grossly over/underestimated after a diff change.

I have been monitoring that across the pools, and explorer. I do in fact see some inconsistency as well. I will dig deeper today.

also: gnode is right. If people stop mining and there is a sudden drop in hashrate, the estimated global hashrate does not reflect that instantly.

The explorer network hash rate shown on the coins main screen is derived from the daemon. This is the first daemon since the "coin rush" started in April, that has actually changed the coding to match the coin.  Wink
However the daemon does error out when trying to get it to calculate since the last difficulty change.

Code:
./craftcoind help getnetworkhashps
getnetworkhashps [blocks]
Returns the estimated network hashes per second based on the last 120 blocks.
Pass in [blocks] to override # of blocks, -1 specifies since last difficulty change.

 ./craftcoind getnetworkhashps -1
error: {"code":-1,"message":"value is type str, expected int"}

I have built a highly accurate network hash rate calculator into the CryptoCoin explorer API, but have since been replacing with just reporting the daemon output. This is because I starting receiving a lot of mail of how inaccurate  the API was when compared to the daemon output. In reality the daemon outputs are wrong, because the networkhashps command was never changed from the Litecoin parameters, and people just did not know how to properly use the API.

Code:
Shows network hash rate every INTERVAL blocks.
/chain/CHAIN/q/getnetworkhash[/INTERVAL/START/?format=[list,json,web]
All parameters in [] are optional. Default is rate over the last 144 blocks in the list format.
START equals how many blocks from current block to start. All formats order from oldest to newest.
Web is formatted in G/H (SHA-256) or M/H (Scrypt) with 2 places after the decimal.
Invaild entries default to the last 144 blocks.

CraftCoin still has the improved hash rate API. For example to get the hash rate every 10 blocks over the last 100 blocks:

http://crc.cryptocoinexplorer.com/chain/CraftCoin/q/getnetworkhash/10/100?format=web

Code:
121.57 M/H
131.59 M/H
132.99 M/H
62.31 M/H
122.14 M/H
105.68 M/H
62.84 M/H
83.78 M/H
49.30 M/H
75.18 M/H

The output is oldest to newest.

its a bit curious with that global hashrate of ~ 225 MH/s

my mining-pool - http://crc.scryptmining.com/ - makes ~ 13 % of the global hashrate, but strikes ~ 50 % of the solved blocks

who can explain this?

Most likely the global hash rate is an average with a big drop in hashrate very recently. If most miners recently stopped mining CRC and moved to something else then the global average will still be high but the instantaneous rate is much lower.

Probably 60 Mh/s
