very hard to mine this coin..

And it makes me wonder why everyone is dumping their coins so cheap

I think they will regret it someday Smiley

Also, is 1.25 Mh/s per 270x a normal speed?

Is it still worth it to mine with my i5 4670k @ 4.5 Ghz?

hash rate jumped last couple hours so - hence the price is falling - miners are dumping, that should reverse in couple hours.

Promising coin. Smiley I voted on Mintpal. I hope to see it on other exchange platforms.
Mining with a R9 290 with sgminer 4.0.0 from the first post and getting 2.2MH/s (the card is much cooler than when I was mining Litecoins) will try the newer one as of tomorrow.
I am also mining with various CPUs:
- Core i7 2600K / Windows 7 x64 / xcoin-minerd @ ~183kh/s
- Xeon E3-1245 V2 / Debian Wheezy amd64 / darkcoin-minerd-1.2c @ ~380kh/s
- Xeon E5-1620 v2 / Debian Jessie amd64 / darkcoin-minerd-1.2c @ ~384kh/s
- Core i3-2130 / Gentoo [old] amd64 / xcoin-miner (darkcoin-minerd-1.2c fails compiling) @ ~64kh/s
- Core i3 530 / Debian Unstable amd64 / darkcoin-minerd-1.2c @ ~130kh/s
Cumulated total of ~1Mh/s. darkcoin-minerd-1.2c doubles the rates compared to xcoin-miner (from what I saw).
The CPUs are not doing only mining (they are mostly servers doing a lot of other stuff) and the miner is at nice level 19 when under Linux and lower priority under Windows.

Anyone have a problem with wallet syncing? Are there nodes to add or?

First, make sure you have the latest wallet.  Second, ugh, it's been a while, but if you search this thread for nodes, you'll find them in the earlier posts Smiley

Had to get a new wallet, thanks for the tip.

I reuploaded here, as much as I would love more dark, I don't want people to get mad when they accidentally connect to my worker haha https://mega.co.nz/#!foxERRrY!rYPrEgfeXPXxpIi7owkVAva7lx7Zs_fAbIAedNUv10I

Thanks for that. I am now getting 3.4-3.5MH/s on a 6990, yet to try tweaking for the new version.

I'm seeing some gains as well, but for some reason sgminer won't take the same commands in the .bat file that the previous version (linked in the first post of this thread) did.  I've never messed with sgminer before (only cgminer), but the previous version took all of my old cgminer commands.  It seems that this new version also does not display GPU temp info and will not let me use "--gpu-engine X" or "--gpu-memory Y" commands.

3% gain for me :-/

And a significant drop in CPU usage, though, nice!

I have 2 Asus R9 280x's

What type of settings should I have in sgminer?

I am getting just under 2 mh/s on each card with the default settings that came with sgminer.

use this version: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/ann-sph-sgminer-multi-coin-multi-algorithm-gpu-miner-added-marucoin-475795

Every since I've been mining Darkcoin with GPUs, my mining room has been 20 degrees cooler. We should really get the word out on this, it's a huge benefit.
As someone in an area that currently has 6ft tall snowbanks outside, this is actually a bad thing right now, as I can't depend on gpus to heat my place.

you dont want that kind of load on your gpus 24/7 they won't last. Get a space heater lol

Harnessing otherwise wasted heat from your mining rigs is a smart idea.  I use fluid cooled GPUs to heat my spa pool.  Temperature control gets a bit tricky though.  Now if cgminer had a "pool target temp" setting... Smiley
