Buy decred instead of pos ticker, much better, and you don't have to wait 3-4 months to be rewarded.

If you want to speculate on price, by all means do so - but it's probably better to do so in a speculation thread. Buy low, sell high, hodl and lurk this thread - do what you will.

I think a far more interesting question would be why DCR will be interesting a year or 3 from now.

Is it going to be used for transactions (a hard hill to climb with Bitcoin as the leader)?
Will it be used as a testbed to prove superior features or governance over the market leaders?
Will it incorporate private transactions via zksnarks or ring signatures?
Are there walled gardens that would prefer to use DCR as a token rather than Bitcoin?

I reread your post and it made me think...

Why will Decred be interesting a year from now?

One of my favorite aspects of this project is that the community has been given a incredible platform to develop our dream blockchain.

We are the masters of our own fate. We decide what DCR will be a year from now. All of us.

The possibilities are endless. The future projects are already funded.

This is "the beginning".

Linux gives you better performances because it is much lighter. If the increase is big enough, change. What you can do too is to disable the Aero mode in Windows 7 (if that's the version you have, and if not, your version is shitty). You should win a few MH/s.
