As of 2016/2/12 there are left 2163 airdrop addresses unspent. ~27% of Airdrop receivers moved their coins
As of 2016/2/13 there are left 2143 airdrop addresses unspent. ~28% of Airdrop receivers moved their coins
As of 2016/2/14 there are left 2118 airdrop addresses unspent. ~29% of Airdrop receivers moved their coins
As of 2016/2/15 there are left 2093 airdrop addresses unspent. ~30% of Airdrop receivers moved their coins
As of 2016/2/16 there are left 2069 airdrop addresses unspent. ~30% of Airdrop receivers moved their coins
As of today 2016/2/17 there are left 2051 airdrop addresses unspent. ~31% of Airdrop receivers moved their coins

My statement from yesterday is still valid even though we had some serious price rise, people did not felt any motivation to dump their airdrop. A record low number was noted in airdrop moves in the past 24 hours

He probably needs a little bit more coins to get a decent pump.. good for distribution. Remember BTC when it came out and how some of us are kicking ourselves now? Well DCR has all the hallmarks.. you'll be the judge but don't think too long lol

i may be wrong but cancelling on blockchain and derivates isn't of this world it maybe refused by the network or maybe the devs can fork for your transaction

Edit : That's Blake-256, I'll find it myself. I thought it was a new algorithm Wink !

PoW miners are reporting their hash rates in the following hardware performance thread as well. Hopefully that is of use to you!

How I can mining at pool

With web wallet?

If you are referring to buying stake tickets using the web wallet, that is not currently possible. That is part of an RFP coming this week.

Where/how i can buy/create PoS ticket? Is PoS mining alive?

A testnet stake pool is currently being tested publicly. This was announced a little while ago here and you can use the stake pool here. It will be transitioned to mainnet shortly when a per user voting feature is completed on the pool. Then the code will be made free and open-source and anyone can host their own stake pool. The goal here is to transition it to community operation in full.

You can solo PoS mine, but that requires a wallet that is unlocked continuously and must be left on 24/7 for months or else you might miss an opportunity to be rewarded for your vote. So you can see the appeal of a pool as it does not require any of that. In terms of buying tickets, that has been possible since block 256 - however, you won't be rewarded for your vote until later, which starts at block 4096. So that will be happening relatively soon as well.

give your personal reason

If this coin has any significant innovations over other coins, please elaborate on them here:

Hybridized proof-of-work proof-of-stake consensus system to strike a balance between miners and voters and create a more robust notion of consensus

Blake-256 hashing algorithm – not vulnerable to many of the numerous security issues facing Merkle-Damgård construction-based hashing algorithms such as SHA-256

secp256k1 signature scheme for ease of integration into existing software or Ed25519/secp256k1-Schnorr to take advantage of Schnorr signatures and their features

Written entirely in Go using a modular, well-documented, and tested codebase for long-term maintainability

Hope this helps Smiley

Interesting fact: Even though the price was rising yesterday, there was no rising in airdrop spendings. People feel no motivation to dump their airdrops

I like these, please keep them coming Smiley

Isn't there any gui wallet for decred, as I am not comfortable with the client wallet.  Grin Huh

https://wallet.decred.org

im thinking they mean a local gui wallet that is away from any form of hacking and prying via the web ...

web wallets are nice - but far from the protection of your own internal local machine ...

im still waiting for one also ...

#crysx

decred's web wallet is hybrid.
Just a gui and the blockchain are online.
All your information and coins are stored in your PC.

still would like a local gui wallet ...

im not a newbie to any of this - but the expectation of the gui wallet is very high ... even to veterans in crypto ...

i trust local - on my linux machines that are encrypted and safe ... no matter what is said about how secure the web wallets are and the way they are done - there is no way a wallet can be compromised if its locked away in an encrypted linux server ...

ill wait - and still use commandline ... for the time being Wink ...

tanx for the info tho ...

#crysx
it's written on the previous page that the gui wallet is in development mode and will be available soon.
So I will be waiting for the gui wallet before accessing my airdrop coins.

Good for you, by the time gui wallet arrives your airdrop coins could be worth way much more than you expected it to be.
