The Value of Decentralized Governance

https://medium.com/decred/the-value-of-decentralized-governance-d81eee61a937

“The many, of whom none may be individually excellent, nevertheless can, when joined together, be better than those [the excellent few]” — Aristole
Many Decred newcomers ask the same questions. Why Decred? Why decentralized governance? What benefits does Decred have compared to other cryptocurrencies? What’s so important about decentralized governance? This article explains a few of the reasons why Decred’s decentralized governance system is so valuable.

I can`t find info - how much is profit for using DCR POOLS with min amount of DCR? For example I have 70 DCR. How much ~ will I earn per month?

There is no exact answer for this question... When you buy a ticket, it can vote anytime within roughly 6 months or expire.. It might vote the next day, might vote in 5 months time, it is random.
When it vote, you will receive the ticket price back and 1.4 dcr as a reward minus the transaction and pool fee (0.07 dcr) (more up to date reward info, check out https://dcrstats.com/subsidy).

The average time to vote is 28 days...  Which mean you receive 1.393 dcr in a month time if you invest 71 dcr. That is roughly 1.9% a month. But it is an average, depend on your luck.

Do I need paymetheus or Decrediton for submitting/claiming tickets or does it matter? I guess I'm going to use some kind of ticket pool...

You can use both.
But now that the version for windows has been released, the official wallet will be Decrediton.
I think paymetheus will not be updated.

Hey guys. I need mobile wallet advice for decred. What do you advice? Or should I download windows wallet and stake?

there is no mobile wallet for DCR yet

at the moment the best move is to accumulate and once you have enough to purchase a ticket , join a stakepool and stake

using a stakepool means you do not need to have a computer online as the stakepool takes care of this

You can use the webwallet on mobile.
It's safe, only the blockchain and graphical interface are online, the keys are stored in your device.
Don't forget to save the seed.

Staking is working now. Thank you guys.
Decredition offers the possibility to buy tickets automatically. Is this also possible for the voting process?

Ok seems like I understood this wrong. The stakepool does the voting for me. But I have to be online to buy new tickets even if I use the automate ticket buying?

A beginner’s guide to Decred

What is Decred?
According to the Decred website, “Decred is an open and progressive cryptocurrency with a system of community-based governance integrated into its blockchain.” Bitcoin paved the way for cryptocurrencies in 2009 and there are a number of groups that have subsequently branched off to start new coins. One example is Decred which is a fork of Bitcoin with its own unique differences. This post should help those who are new to Decred to understand how it is different than other cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin..........

seems that you are using the command line version of decred you could try the version with Decredition for a less challenging experience  Wink

anyway for the dcrctl a batch file is the solution, create a .txt past insied the code below and rename it to .bat

Code:
dcrctl.exe

cmd /k

Thank you! Decredition is much easier  Grin

But I have 2 more questions:
Am I right that I need enough DCR to buy a whole ticket which is about 71 DCR right now?
Which pool is recommendable? Or isnt there much of a difference?

Yes, you need to buy an entire ticket to stake it.
Check here for current ticket price: https://dcrstats.com/ It also lists a number of stake pools you can look into. I can recommend stakepool.dcrstats; have had 0 issues, and the android app is nice.

Ok so I need to buy 8 more DCR before I can start staking Smiley
Thank you

Decred will be approached twice on V Brazilian Bitcoin Conference.

In the presentation by João Ferreira aka girino and Gabriel Rhama and also by Edilson Osorio Jr, CEO of www.originalmy.com who uses dcrtime in his company for the registration of documents, patents and contracts in the DCR’s blockchain.
