Anyone know of a site that is maintaining current hashrates of the different coin networks?  I know there are different sites calculating estimated profitability, but it would be nice to see what is currently being hashed at what rate and even some historical data on those rates as well.

Any ideas?

Cool, thanks!  Is that your site, Cartman?  If so, how do you choose the coins to include or not?  Just curious.

No it's not. Think it's ran by tyrion70. Just passing along the info...it's so hard to find sometimes. I reached out to him to be able to put some of that stuff on my site and he graciously responded a code sample Smiley

Have had good experience one several of nearmiss's pools:

http://digitalcoin.scryptmining.com - nearmiss | 2% | stratum | PPS | New York, NY, United States (ServerStack)

Just checked and pool is currently at 75 MHash.

+1 on nearmiss' pools.  Mined there a couple weeks and it's nice to have a PPS option out there.

Thanks for the positive feedback!  Though to be fair, my pool isn't PPS (sorry, was already mentioned earlier, thought first post was fixed by now!). Its proportional payouts per block @ 5 confirms.  Basically the same as PPLNS, but without the whole sliding target of share counting over mutiple blocks/never quite know if your getting what you should at the start/end...because, well, its 20 second block times! You get paid for any shares you submitted between the last block and current one, relative to what the pool as a whole submitted.  If you want to hop pools in the span a few minutes, between the pool finding blocks, be my guest!  The problems PPLNS were built to solve don't really apply to DGC, imo. So pay out right away for all your mining power I say  Smiley

I've got the mind of a scientist
If you google "dgc currency" the top results are for Digital Gold Currency which is not a cryptocurrency, but "An electronic, private currency backed by gold bullion".  Not that it's a big issue here, but just something to be aware of...

I'm still using the pool http://next.afraid.org:8119, for DGC. I don't let my miners on DGC all the time, but this pool, gives me the amount I expect, and the PPLNS windows is not too long, this is what I want.

10+ Mh/s and expected time to block of 22 minutes at the moment. Try out MobGod's pool. He is always available on IRC Smiley

Looks like the pools are getting split between 2 major now  Grin

Network hashrate: 757.57 MH/s

erundook  ->http://dgc.epools.org/   ->Pool hashrate: 343.42 MH/s
Big Vern   ->http://digicoinpool.com/ ->Pool Hashrate: 321 MH/s

The rest @ 100 Mh/s

If we can have at least a 3rd pool that gives accurate rewards like this 2 we don't worry about that 51 % question  Grin

Edit : People should post about the other pools and their experience with rewards

Coinminer P2Pool (http://coinminer.net:25397) and Multipool.in both support DGC. Though Coinminer seems to be a bit unstable at times, I have had some success with it.  Multipool has very good admin support that is responsive to issues.  It also has an (experimental) scrypt auto-switcher based on profitability.  Worth checking out.

Can anyone please tell me if this is a bug? Just opened my DGC client and saw that it is trying to sync. It shows that there are 268k blocks remaining on the sync, but it shows all my latest transactions (as of a couple days ago) as confirmed. Also, it says the last block received was generated 18 seconds ago.

Just restart your client. Your funds are safe. Sometimes there's some other coin's chain conflicting I think although I didn't see that  error for few days already. I guess the network is getting stronger.

Thanks for the confirmation. Did it and now everything looks fine!

Just wasn't sure if that was something I should worry about or not; figured something may be corrupted and with cryptos, I've learned (reading posts) that the smallest mistake can make you lose everything, :p.

This has been happening to me every single time I leave my wallet open in the background. Just have to keep restarting it when it pops up again... more a nuisance than anything else.

I noticed that this problem went away for me when I opened port 7999 to the computer running the wallet. It went from around 15 connections to over 60.

dgc.cryptocoinmine.com

Would start making much more coin for both the miners and CCE, if more people would throw some hash power at it.  Grin

It is at 0% fee (for now) and the bigger it gets, the more encouragement I have to get it switched over to PPS.

I have seen people ask about a PPS pool, but I need a large enough reserve of DGC to run that kind of  payment system.

Hey dream was the pool easy to set-up? Reason I'm asking I'll put enough DGC into to have a pps if you want to help me

I normally don't use p2pool, but I have been mining at http://p2pool-dgc.com:9500/ and the rewards have been spot on. Very solid pool. I found it more accurate with the rewards than any of the pushpools I tried.
