Am I right that it's actually way more profitable to keep sharecoins in the exchange to receive 60% interest on 20k sharecoins (12k after a year) than to buy a feeshare and receive only 30% interest (6k after a year) and BTC payments (only maybe 0.0002 BTC or so?)

I just did the math and 6k sharecoins is more than 0.0002 BTC (it's 0.01386 now for 6k sharecoins) that you'll receive in a year

this is a 60x difference, you'd need more like 1800 BTC daily volume to justify owning feeshares

What revenue are you using the calculate that? The current revenue? With a new alt-coin being added to the exchange every day the volume will increase very quickly. ESpessially if we get some exclusives or some hot new coins on the exchange first.

Saturday, I bought feeshares and interest was 1000 each.

Now, I found this interest dropped to just 500. What happened?

Quote
The correct amount is 500 for each FeeShare not 1,000. Because the interest rate is 5% per month. The 1,000 showed few days ago is just a display bug.

1 feeshare=20.000 sharecoins

5% of 1 feeshare=1000 sharecoins,

not just 500...

30% per year is 2.5% per month.

20,000 * .3 = 6000 / 12 = 500

FeeShare interest is 30% per year, ShareCoin interest is 60% per year. Everything is written here: https://sharexcoin.com/interests/about
So interest for FeeShare is 2.5% per month not 5%. It was a typo, sorry.

I noticed which the orderbook and trade history seem to live update, the Volume/Last/High/Low don't seem to. Also, it would be nice to see the current Bid/Ask at the top along with Last.

thanks..
The bid/ask price is live updated in the buy/sell form already. They are Highest Buy Price and Lowest Sell Price next to your balance.
The left side bar will be updated with new feature along with the live updating. We are already working on it.

I tried to add NXT to the vote list, but it won't seem to take it. Their source is on bitbucket not GitHub.

Hello dev.

I think you should look how to add "2nd gen" coins
to the exchange as there is or there will be big interest in
trading when the coins are released.

I know that adding this coins could be harder as they usually have a different
source code base because they are not just bitcoin or peercoin clones or forks
but i also think adding them could give better reward.

Some of those coins that I suggest for now are:

NXT
- pure POS coin.
- released last december
- source code in: java
- already traded on exchanges
- thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=587007.0;topicseen

QORA
- pure POS coin.
- released May 16 2014
- source code in: java + (native code libraries in c)
- non traded on any exchange yet because  is new
- thread: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/ann-qora-released-16-may-100-pos-new-source-522102

EXO-coin
- will be pure POS coin after POW mining (pow will be used for distribution phase 6 months)
- not released yet (in open beta testing)
- source code in: c++
- non traded on any exchange yet cos is not released yet
- thread: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/pospow-exocoin-exo-gen-20-dev-from-scratch-give-away-open-beta-430467

Thanks for you hard work.

Nice suggestion. I'll look into those coins Smiley

Hi,
can you list qora in your exchange?

Qora is a new crypto-currency designed from the ground up to solve Bitcoin’s biggest problems while also adding new promising features. Qora is being built from scratch and will not rely on any other crypto-currency. Qora uses a new proof-of-stake algorithm making it future-proof.

Qora is being developed in Java and relies on native C libraries to perform the most CPU intensive tasks.

Current name might still be changed.
