The coin looks very promising. First of all its open source makes it possible for anyone to build up on it. The cpu prevents the coin from mass mining and dumping. The zeroprotcol is a good privacy angle and only to build up from there. The most comparable coin is indeed zoi coin. But 5/6 of it goes to the devs. Hexxcoin now picked up by a new team has a lot of upward potential. +side they are on cryptopia already which is nowadays a hard step for coins to get listed on a large exchange. Stay tuned for their updates. They have offered the community a telegram and discord. But think they prefer discord.

The Admin on the Hexx Telegram is rude and unprofessional. Some people asking simple questions and he gets really defensive and tell them to suck a dick. Totally unnessary, do they not want new people to invest or what?

Yes, you can solo mine, use https://github.com/JayDDee/cpuminer-opt/releases as miner.
However, you need a decent CPU for it.

POS / POW hybrid consensus already implemented? Can I stake this coin?
You can't stake this coin. It will have Xnodes (masternodes) and POW. Xnodes are alive for testing and for users to learn how to setup one.
Until we release the final fork client, you can setup Xnode for only 10HXX.
Final Xnode value will be set @ 1000 - 2000 HXX / Xnode
This is a great change to learn how to setup Xnode without any risk.
Xnode payments are disabled during test period.
Else the chain is fully functional and exchanges are online.
