100% agree, except on the e-eCommerce thing.

I could list and sell shit much easier if I had one of these little things.

I talk for myself: I'm not part of development team strictly talking, I'm an huntercoin believer that wanted to do something concrete to help the coin and instead trying to earn something speculating on exchanges, i wanted to earn something giving some useful services. I'm not paid to to what i'm doing, what i get is what community gives (donation address is in signature and the 2000 hucs you see are from BayAreaCoins) and in future what i could earn with client fee.

At the end I think i could be considered an example of what anybody can do to support a coin: instead waiting that others do something, i prefer to do (or at least try)
I hope that with future releases of the official daemon huntercoin could get the attention it deserve.

I've read some posts where someone asked to do games that uses this coin, or service that accept hucs or whatever.
The idea obviously is nice and everybody know that services are what gives values to a coin (for huntercoin the game itself has an intrinsic value) but what people maybe miss is that, for example, to do a MMORPG a huge investment has to be done, in term of time and money and this project isn't funded afaik

To give value to the coin, ANYBODY can setup an e-commerce and sold something in hucs, or try to find merchants to sold, etc...
cryptocoin are launched from someone and developed during time by one or more person, but since it's opensource, anybody can contribute to codebase AND marketing, at the end isn't the creator of the coin by definition, that has the major revenue, but who have the coins (don't look at me, lol)

recap about this coin: no premine, except a small amount for bounty, etc.., mostly lost in mikhail (who passed away) pc, no IPO, no investors at early stage, so of course this coin is in the hand of community (and in snailbrain "team", like domob, that keep working on the core)

ideas are great, but need people who do concrete things too (donating is also a form of support of course, no one ask to people to do things they can't do)

I'd send some tips too. Btw, I don't know if this is currently actual or not - but are domob and mithrilman part of the development team, or mere freelancers working on HUC? Perhaps fully integrating them into the team would work better as they seem to be doing a lot of work for HUC.

What happened to android development. I remember reading on the thread someone was creating one?

I am gonna try to make a small video of the mithrilman client in use. I am setting up now to do some moves in a typical game session.

One major hindrance is that he's using C# and the client works, so far, only on Windows.  But he said that it would be possible to rework it in a way to make it work in a cross-platform C# environment (i. e., Mono) for the future.

Why isn't Mithrilman's client integrated into the wallet itself if it's better than the current one being used?

I would probably push for a different game altogether. We need variation for sure. A full-blown MMO would probably be out of the question but would be an awesome project (and could be handled using something like Unity3d).

this is what i'd like to do as a side project: modify my client to do a similar game, with different mechanics, centralized and out of blockchain, that need cryptocoins to be played (and gives back cryptos too)

Another idea would be to introduce external games that use the coins as the cash shop currency (or in-game currency). This would allow people to play the blockchain game to earn coins, then utilize them in another game (and others could buy those coins to use within the game).

The coin has no value. The reason to this is because you dont spend the coin on anything. Raising the player creation cost would indeed give the coin some value - but only if the gameplay has a value of its own. This brings us to a 'catch 22', since the fun-factor of the game is largly based on earning money.

This coin has suffered from major inflation, the coin is too easy to acquire, and has no use of its own(that any other coin does not have).

I read some pages back that the game platform could be used to trade coins anonymously, player to player. That would be a neat feature, to expand the game to a in-game crypto trading platform. (Not that I have any clue if this is even possible)

Anyways, I'll keep following this project!

Worst investment of my trading career but I still believe in the idea. 

I still have every HUC I've ever earned. I have high hopes and dreams for this coin/game. As long as the innovations keep coming, I believe it could even become more valuable than ltc someday. Let the revolution begin!

How many HUNTERCOIN do you have? I have none

One needs to be careful that HUC is not exposed to too many exchanges if it's at a precarious stage - I'm talking from experience. Maybe the best option would be to wait until the disaster and pruning update have been finalised, and then get us on Bittrex. It's only a short wait.

Merge mine with DOGE is a great idea it is good to both parties. In theory, the merge mining with DOGE has no problem, but I don't know the practical technical status right now.
